40 years ago today, A Irish answer of the likes by CBBC that aired on RTE, The Den made its debut. Originally presented by Ian Dempsey, it was later follow suit with other presenters such as Ray D'Arcy. Zig and Zag did not show up until 1987, alongside Zuppy and Dustin in 1989.

Only The Big Breakfast would have a link where Zig is brushing Jerry Hall’s hair, Zag does her nails as they talk philosophically about life. With Paula Yates is on make up duties as Ulrika Jonsson fans her and Chris Evans leads into the news bulletin. Live TV like no other. #thebigbreakfast

1/2 2025 was a great year for work. We had a busy year working on a brand new Hanna Barbera series as Story Editors and scriptwriters. That was 40 scripts we were in charge of! We had a blast and worked with some of the most talented people in the animation world. NDA won’t let say more…yet!

2/2 We also got to write all the scripts for the 12 Storybuds of Christmas, a number of scripts for Dodges Pup School and Beep Boops. Also development on ‘Wizzos’ and a little bit of Zig and Zag work for Celebrity Gogglebox Ireland and some new t-shirt designs! Looking forward to 2026! 🙌
