Just finished Big Walk from @househouse.com. One of those generational games that is almost a required play. We played with 5 games from about the world, with most not ever meeting in person. Yet we formed a bond that felt like real friendship. Easily in my Top 5 for the year.
Check out my latest piece on Ambrosia Sky!
Ambrosia Sky is an immersive sim about exploring an asteroid colony devastated by an unknown contamination. Survive and harvest strains of alien fungi, explore treacherous environments, and find meaning and beauty in so much death. Learn more in our full review: somanygames.co.uk/review/ambro...
"The sun is setting on the Solarians." I didn't realize at the time how true this sentiment would be for my friend, Rick @pixelprojectradio.bsky.social. Please have a listen, folks, even if for no other reason than to honor the legacy of one of the most pensive, thoughtful people I have ever known.
Join @dovetail.bsky.social and I as we wrap up our conversation around NINE SOLS! Taoism, the balance of perspective, a hyper-focused commitment in design and narrative to a thesis, and much more. Link in the replies! Thanks for listening, all. This, too, must end. TTFN!
Wow, 25 years of playing Xbox. I still remember that first day, playing the Halo 1 campaign co-op in a friend's basement. www.trueachievements.com/xbox25/1251840
We had a fantastic conversation with Kaitlin from @softrains.bsky.social about the surprising ways Ambrosia Sky champions honor, respect, and care within the role of a death cleaner pca.st/episode/4725...

This was such an interesting game to talk about. We are so happy it resonated with some folks!
As a Latin American, Despelote hit home by bringing up some of my childhood memories and of many other kids. I love watching discussions to see different views on it. This episode by @dovetail.bsky.social was a great find. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in the game. pca.st/lq2l0idh
Our meatiest interview yet! 🥩 Thanks @benjamming.bsky.social for going there with us. Relooted provided the backdrop for such a great conversation on game design and contemporary issues. pca.st/8988xkok

My review details how I had a ton of fun with this game while learning a few things about Africa. @plante.bsky.social was spot-on to call it edu-tainment.
Recruit crew members, plan escape routes, acquire the precious cargo, and bounce out of the joint as fast as you can as you reclaim real African artifacts from Western museums in this Africanfuturist heist game. Learn more on Relooted in our review: somanygames.co.uk/review/reloo...

Definitely worth checking out! We did a review of this game plus a deep dive into the studio that made it in a Between The Lines episode last year.
Have you played "Swann's Song" 🦢🎶? It's still being talked about by the wandering souls that discover it. @dovetail.bsky.social did an episode on our games and found it poetic. @laborkyle.bsky.social found it "very, very moving" and even placed it on their best games of the year list!
