Quitting Twitter/X left me missing the feel of community and cool people coding awesome things. But I just can't bring myself to use that platform. So giving BSKY another chance. Looking to connect with independent builders and creators. Rn, I make videos on YT, and build tacodigest.com.

Good win for today! I discovered that @sentry.io io has support for multiple organisations within one account. Which makes life so much easier both for me and Claude connector. I was creating a new account for each new project. 🤦‍♂️

4. It parses, renames, and uploads them into Google Drive. It fills the rest of the accounting spreadsheet with countries, VAT info, invoice links, etc. At the end, I got something like this + numbers to fill in the VAT tax return.

For the most part, you don't need to worry about bureaucracy in the Netherlands as a startup founder. Everything is digital and convenient. But I do hate spending even a minute doing admin/accounting/whatever tasks not related to actually building the startup.

For me, the most annoying is collecting invoices, structuring everything, listing expenses/income, filing VAT tax returns, etc. So I’m spending this Saturday with my friend Claude in an attempt to fully automate it.

As a technical founder, you always try hard so everything on the platform looks great, there are no bugs and broken pieces, and everything feels smooth and snappy.

And then you realise that you forgot to register an email address you added as "Contact support" and it's been this way for at least several weeks. Simply bouncing back if somebody tried to send an email there 😅 What a shame.

If you're using Cloud+ for custom email domains (or any other service for that matter), I definitely recommend always receiving all messages for the domain, instead of a selected list of addresses.

For the coming months, I'll run this experiment and share only my startup/founder journey: what we're building, what challenges we're facing, and the lessons learned. Right now, I mostly focus on YouTube marketing/intelligence data startup @Influesque.com.

The truth is, I like sharing stuff, and learning about cool stuff other founders are building. I just don't like social media’s algorithmic nonsense, the fact that their main way of making money is from your addiction and attention, and drama that always seems to be happening there.

But I have a hypothesis that if I try and strictly stick to the startup people, especially indie hackers and bootstrapped startups, and only share my startup building journey, it might be enjoyable, and I might find this sense of a community that existed on social media a long time ago.

Excited to share what I am working on - influesque.com. We're simplifying YouTube creator advertising for brands and hopefully boosting the creator economy. Our MVP is almost ready. Join the waitlist if you've always wanted to try this marketing channel.

Started doing some hobby photography again. iPhone 17 Pro is awesome. I realized I miss sharing photos online, but X is not good and I hate IG. So looking for a nice place to do it without being on a lame/dead platform. Thinking maybe start a Substack (story + photos)?

Programming has a surprising amount of waiting: - Deploy - Various scripts/migrations/data imports running - AI generating response - CD/CI/Tests - Compilation for some languages What do you all do in the meanwhile?

Journaling is the best reflecting tool because it gives you perspective. It's so easy to be disappointed in day-to-day progress, but if you've been journaling long enough, you can read your entries from 1-2-3 years ago and immediately see the forest behind the trees.

Working from home is nice, but I am trying to change environment and work somewhere in the city at least once a week. Those days are usually most productive. Working from the library with an autumn view today.

Does the profession of YouTube auditor exist? I'd love to pay a growth expert for a one-time consultation to review my channel/analytics. Kind of like how SEO audits work now.

Perfect strategy for reducing your churn from @yandex. I enabled their food delivery subscription while I was in Minsk. Now I am back to the EU, I can't open any page because it's "not available in my country". Result: I can't really cancel the subscription!

My first money for the YouTube sponsor integration! My first experience with adding a sponsored segment. I had offers before, but I never liked the product or the negotiation went nowhere. Great experience overall! Thanks @snowballtracker for being my first sponsor.

I have a love/hate relationship with video editing. Sometimes I hit the flow and can't stop. Some days I just can't bring myself to even start, and it feels so dragging. I need a way to control it!

Another video - done. Will be live today 🚀 Turned out quite a personal story about my decision of quitting my job and how I have been doing since then. Also, I am doing an ad integration for the first time.
