new AU developing... and yes it is #drivinglessons. are you guys ready for a new story tag too: #BlackDogofLimerence

✸ Max ✸@dracononite.bsky.social

I know I'm supposed to be finishing drafting the next chapter of Half Human but I've been very much brainstorming a couple other AU stories... one of which is shadow Driver, because that's one of my favorite types of monsters. Like, shadow humanoid but with tendrils and teeth... chefs kiss

looks at Driver and the two buttons in front of me that say "humanize that character" and "dehumanize that character" I press them back and forth over and over because his lack of identity is utterly intriguing to me and I want to explore both ideas

Felt the itch to do some traditional art, so I went to my fave stationery shop (Rosa Quitte) and got myself some new Polychromos, including some of the very new colours :>

The concept is something I've always loved, I even have an old OC based on it. It also draws on my fear of being watched through open doors at night... aka the monster in the closet / under the bed. Driver hiding because he's shy... uuuu I've seen a couple similar fics but now I wanna do it too :')

Once again for any creative; use whatever site best fits your needs for your livelihood. No socmed site big enough to hold a audience is going to be free of genAI; be realistic with your expectations and pick the lesser evil. Your value as an artist isn't tied to numbers or a particular site (+)

chapter 3 is now UP on ao3! PLEASE enjoy, it was extremely fun to write and is the juiciest so far. and I decided I'd post it even if I'm not done drafting ch. 4 yet. cause I need some dopamine warnings for: surgery, post-transformation body horror, burn injury archiveofourown.org/works/92062276

ch. 3 of Half Human is up on patreon & ko-fi! This is THE chapter I wanted most to write for this fic when I first thought of the AU. it's pretty early on, so I'll probably get just as excited to write a later chapter once more details are hashed out, but, you know. this one's the juiciest so far
