to 'solve' climate one must grok 2 concepts: a) the green revolution b) debt based currency only after deeply understanding those, can one posit viable solutions

it's a bit harsh but, if you aren't an experienced dev and DevOps person, and you are pushing ai code around in your org, you are effectively pants down, bent over the couch, in the middle of the subway station it's so, so dangerous out there rn www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/securit...

bleepingcomputer.comLiteLLM release pipeline hacked to distribute info-stealer malwareHackers compromised the LiteLLM project's PyPI package and published malicious Docker images with a payload that steals credentials, secrets, and environment variables.

I really just want to remove regulations and innovation progress Tulagi ROAR. MOAR APPS NOW I demand them

One of the very best things about AI is that it lets anyone be a politician on LinkedIn. Even if they have never served or studied philosophy or economics... With tokens anyone can be president! Software is sufficient to know all the things, and money beats empathy hands down

You are pro AGI. Intelligent. Rational. You believe in science. You understand quantum principles. So stupid.

i thought slack would go down in history for being the worst auth system ever built but, nope, it's anthropic those guys have money but gosh, clown show in eng. a million monkeys stealing is a great model - for a while.

the moment you realize that: - zero people want 'another app' - zero people want 'another 9fa login' - zero people want 'more screen time' - zero people want 'your amazing ui' - zero people believe 'you can save time and money of you buy this' is the second you see the glass ceiling

If you still require a keyboard to use AI, and computers, you are about 12 months behind. If you need to sit to get work done, and be at a desk, 18. It's going to be a bloodbath. The suits won't know what hit them. The offices, empty....

I'm diskexic and can barely spell. Like, actually. Now that we have voice control though, it doesn't even matter.

compiled and typed languages are an anti-pattern for gen ai assisted development. the agents need to run the code they write as early as possible. in this sense, required compilation is a massive barrier, resulting in orders of magnitude more CI to run.

otoh, it's almost trivial to solve this, for thinking people. of which there remain 7 on planet earth. if we had merely 11, we'd have fixed it already. it'll come soon though.

before we reach for AGi I am thinking we just get basic process management working in agent harnesses... what the HELL is wrong with the engineers making these things? wait, I KNOW! lolz

it's taken a lot time but, now, I think, we can finally see that Ruby helped Rails, just as much as Rails helped Ruby. riding along with matz, DHH extracted something good with tobi.... well they don't call it #vcevil for nothing

three of my friends, successful in tech, have confided being suicidal in the past 3 weeks we know it's poisoning us but, we keep drinking

“It is highly unusual that an end-product threatens the economic foundations of its essential suppliers, but that is the situation we have created for our LLM business with respect to its ‘content supply chain.'” and you have some rallying to support this!? know the enemy!
