Fully liberated the air conditioning from this 1956 DeSoto. Next stage is recover the plumbing for it and then disposal.

Didn't think it would work, but I converted the DVD player's display cabling to a properly terminated cable on both ends.

Fucking hell. Just spent 2.5 hours trying to find Windows XP audio drivers for the thin client. Was successful. Later, XG SoftSynth and copying my MIDIs folder to it.

Because of an unacceptable amount of bus noise, I am now using onboard audio for analog audio. The 8+8 audio interface buzzes and clicks when doing any kind of data transaction.

I have developed an odd form of tinnitus. It is this low pitched thrum resembling industrial equipment. It only presents in my left ear.

Just realized the Thunderbolt port on my laptop has been nerfed. Nothing gets recognized/authorized when I connect stuff to it.

If the report is true that GTA VI will come out on PC Q1-2027, that game will be Agnus' trial by fire. My gaming PC is an AM4-based machine with a Ryzen 9 5950X and a Radeon RX 7800XT GPU.

The 1956 DeSoto my dad and I are taking apart is an utter basketcase. The wiring in it has been butchered and a bunch of the body panels have crude cuts made in them. The only thing that is being savaged from it is power steering and air conditioning.

Last night's Boston Blue was interesting. You had two Millennial officers working a case the old-school way and a Boomer detective working a case using modern methods.

Toni might be cuddling with me in bed at night this winter. Last night he was testing the waters seeing if I was hostile to the idea of cuddling.

Power supply project underway. My SC-1080H, AVerMedia TVBox11, and HDMI switchers are now on one power supply. The TV tuner, SB-3879, and monitors are going to be on another power supply later today.

This is hilarious. I'm selling models on eBay of two ships that encountered each other in combat. The ships are the Soviet-era S-13 and the Nazi-era Wilhelm Gustloff. The S-13 sunk the Wilhelm Gustloff which was illegal as the Gustloff was a hospital ship.

Going to miss the release of GTA VI as I don't have, or plan on getting, a modern console. Will have to wait a bit more when it comes to PC.

Thunderbolt dock is officially dead. I checked for functionality with the laptop and gaming PC, no response. Will acquire another one some other time.

Color me impressed. For lolfactor, I hooked up the AVerMedia TV Box to an antenna, and was picking up channels from two counties over and southern New Jersey.

In other news, my Blu-ray player can read CD-Text. On a lark, I played a disc with text encoding with and without a network connection thinking it has access to a database of disc ID.

Last night, I had the most fucked up dream in personal history. It involved war and severe human rights violations. Frankly, I have no idea what my subconscious was creating and I don't ever want to have a dream like that again.

Toni damn near gave me a heart attack. He usually chills with me when I sit on the sofa. When he didn't, I got extremely concerned. He showed up from his hiding spot in the apartment and I was relieved.

My receiver has redeemed itself, albeit barely. It turns out that the USB audio interface outputs a signal, just not one that gets loud enough when cranked to max volume to make my ears ring.

The only evidence that I used to pull my hair out is a slightly thin spot on my head. When I first started, I had no idea when I was going to stop. In late 2024, I stopped.

I'm more than convinced that these anti-Autistic assholes are nothing but Neocolonialists with hyperactive savior complexes. Prove me wrong.

Seriously thinking of putting the 5308 receiver back into service. The headphone amplifier in the SR5010 is absolutely gutless. When I listen to music, I want my ears to ring like fucking bell after a listening session. I like listening to stuff loud as fuck.

I saw a 1990s Cadillac on a walk today. It was rocking an Antique Historic license plate. When I think of antique vehicle, it is from the 1950s.

Starting to set up the Shinybow scaler. Bluetooth audio fully connected. Dummy video source figured out, my AVerMedia TVBox11 is supplying CVBS, S-Video, YPbPr, and DVI.

Got it the rest of the way connected. Record player is connected to CVBS, Cassette deck to S-Video, CD deck to YPbPr, and Bluetooth to DVI. The Shinybow scaler is now an ADC.

Mark that a win. Both 4K60 monitors are fully functional. Now I have the annoying thing where the monitor getting the loop out connection from the 4K capture card wants to stay up all the time.
