Another loss and ManUtd soap opera continues, when will it get better?! At least I’ve got my tickets for Kraftwerk at Piece Hall. To celebrate, three stops on the same journey: Kraftwerk, New Order, & Afrika Bambaataa #Kraftwerk #NewOrder #AfrikaBambaataa #ElectronicMusic #VinylCommunity

After a summer of streaming it, I've finally got hold of the vinyl. My Skyscraper - Nirosta Steel A strong contender for Album of the Year. Think #ArthurRussell, taken somewhere new, rhythmically, lyrically and musically. What's your album of the year so far? #NirostaSteel #VinylCommunity #AOTY

Rubber Soul has been reissued today, so I’m playing my mono copy from The Beatles in Mono box set. Nearly 60 years on, it still sounds fresh. Which out-of-print LP would you most like to see reissued on vinyl? #Beatles #RubberSoul #BeatlesInMono #VinylCommunity #RecordCollector

Yesterday’s mooch around MCR resulted in a small haul of records following me home, only one was on the want list! Beck's Mutations, Bonnie Prince Billy's Ghosts of American Psychonauts, Harder Than Steel & Earthquake Studio, & Adopting Birdsong. Which record are you reaching for first? #Vinyl

It's been a while since I last played this DJ Shadow - Endtroducing Instantly transported back to West Jesmond, Newcastle, and a tiny Tyneside flat share in 1996. Music can be the most powerful time machine. What album takes you straight back to a place and time? #NotVinyl #DJShadow #Endtroducing

At the start of August, I had the pleasure of climbing all over the #Bentley #Torcal, #Crewe’s first electric vehicle and a true testament to the brand’s prestige. The coolest thing I learned was the rhythmic sound of the indicator is a recording of a pinhead hammer being tapped on to leather.

Post #1000 Just back from inter-railing across Europe. The first record I played was Magdalith, a discovery from the journey. From Kraftwerk's Computer World, my first LP, to the latest additions, these shelves tell a lifetime of listening. What record would you play first after a long trip away?

New reissue of Queen: Live at Wembley Stadium. Original ticket. Wembley Stadium, 12 July 1986. I was there. Nearly 40 years later, the parts I liked least as a teenager are the parts I love most. Fittingly, this is post #999. What's the one concert you'd most like to relive?
