This is the Iron Man suit I made for Halloween. I rushed it out in 40 days, and it was so fun to wear around. Lots of excited kids (and adults) came up and got pictures with it. Making an Iron Man suit that makes others happy has been a dream of mine for years now, and I'm so glad it worked out!

Iron-Man's Malibu Mansion and Secret Base 2026 ink cutaway commission depicting a toyetic version of Iron-Man's HQ. My focus was more on showing a bunch of fun stuff rather than a functional floorplan, hence any lapses in scale or connecting passageways.

I swear to God when Alex Ross draws DC Superheroes it feels like they actually exist He manages to take really simple, old school costume designs for these characters and somehow draws them with so much detail they legit feel like Gods that walk amongst us

Just realized AI companies keep having "oh, our models are so dangerous! This one escaped and hacked everything! Better regulate it!" moments because they don't have a sustainable business model, so they're trying to become part of the Military Industrial Complex to have tax funds keep them afloat.

We know that the compute expenses to train and run bigger and better models keeps skyrocketing, while there's a cap to what consumers are willing to pay when they can run similar free and open source models themselves. But the military is used to overpaying for everything, even Proof of Concepts.

If they can convince the Military to pay for a large chunk of their compute expense bill with the promise of an ultra awesome hacker/intelligence AI suite then they'll finally have a path to profitability. If regulations limit what free AI can exist because it's dangerous, all the better for them.

Recently Pete Hegseth intentionally quoted Isaiah 6:8 for his "Send me" tour. I don't think he finished reading the chapter. The person is being sent to ensure the destruction of THEIR OWN country, by making sure their countrymen don't see, hear, or feel for others. Pete declared war on the USA.

Boy, I just 💀love💀 2D printers! Epson's print head cleaning feature succeeded in making the print quality worse each time, truly a marvel of modern engineering! I swear, one of these days I'll just 3D print a printing press, because manually setting the letters would be faster than fixing this 😮‍💨

So a lot of people are planning what they do "when it happens". MY macabre brain is more thinking what happens "after it happens". Cuz, I can't be the only person who's thinking about this possible eventuality, right? And sorry for the quality, I had to compress the vid to fit it in B-Sky rules.

GenAI is a tech bubble of hype and absurdity. It runs on nothing but vibes and dollar signs in billionaire's eyes. But that's why we must resist it. We broke NFTs, we broke the Metaverse, we can break this nonsense too.

Because everything feels so precarious I don't even want to job hunt for a job I might enjoy more. My current job feels more stable than the rest of the industry, and I don't want to risk losing everything and have a lot more hardship for some fleeting joy at work.

Can someone explain what the deal is with Superman's city of Kandor? I thought they were all irreversibly trapped at a miniature scale, but I'm reading a comic where some just... teleport themselves out of the city, regular sized? Feels like there's something I'm missing for why they stay small.

Anyone else find @bazzite.gg a total pain? Go to install Sudoku on the kids account. It looks like it installs, but won't launch. Log out to go to the admin account and I get enough error and warning popups that would make Windows 95 blush! Every time there's a minor issue this happens!

A person buys a game on Switch 2. They do not realize there might not be any cartridge, and what they'd essentially bought was a box with a download code. They express their irritation online, and are met with people telling them they should've known. What the actual carp is wrong with people?

Broke: Trump has staged another assassination attempt Woke: The culture of violence normalised by Trump means that real assassination attempts threaten to become indistinguishable from staged, accelerating breakdowns of trust in government & more broadly reality-already part of Trump’s violence

We need Republicans to start taking accountability for their representatives, their senators, and their president. They can't freeload on Democrats being the only ones with a conscience, they need to stand up too.

Dems impeached him twice when then held the majority in the house The GOP senators then refused to remove him Republicans hold the majorities in both house and senate - they could vote with the Dems at any time to stop this, but are watching ppl blame Dems, so they’re free to not use their votes

I used a Palm and folding keyboard for most of my note taking in college. Fewer distractions, lighter, and better battery life than a laptop could provide. Nothing beat that feeling of folding the keyboard back up, shoving it in a pocket, and just walking away.

It's unfortunate that a lot of the checks and balances now seem to have relied on the honour system.

discord is a mysterious piece of software whose primary output is notification noises. No one is especially sure what purpose the noises serve, or what triggers them, but they tolerate it in order to use discord's ancillary functions as a chat service

I've been running Linux for 2 months straight, and every time I think "This is it, this is perfect!" something goes horribly wrong. My current issue is that logging in causes my monitors to completely lose connection. No idea what caused that, hoping I can do something about it in recovery mode.

"We should change the government" I agree! How? "Don't vote for Democrats, because they don't do anything." That...doesn't make sense, but OK. Who should we vote for? "Socialist third parties!" OK. Who are you running for Congress and state lege seats? "No, I mean only for POTUS." Ahh.

I'm starting to appreciate that "sudo" is a much bigger deal when you're doing projects on your main PC instead of WSL. In WSL, a mistake just meant some of my projects broke. Now it can mean messing up my graphics drivers, or deleting the entire desktop environment. Still, glad to be off Windows!

Asked my family group chat if they knew what this administration was doing was illegal and evil. Mom and one sister agreed. Two sisters didn't reply. Dad said he wished people didn't die, but disagreed. I told Dad why he knows better, but now I'm nervous about those who stayed silent.

An underappreciated point which I think got forgotten from older discourse is that one of the primary reasons ice needs to be shut down and abolished is that they are indistinguishable from random vigilantes. And that is why now we must all act to protect people.

Kubuntu with KDE Plasma has won me over. Install went smooth, boot options worked, graphics card drivers installed correctly the first time, windows move like I expect with hotkeys, sound options quickly let me disable devices that are falsely being detected, and so far there's no noticable bugs.

I think the only thing I've got issues with right now is OBS not having a window/game capture. Screen capture is OK, but it's nice to not have to worry about pop-ups or background tasks if the game closes.
