Does anyone think that Trump dislikes California not only because it is a 'blue' state but also because it is liberal, free thinking and the home of the arts in terms of cinema in Hollywood and where the actors gather for work and leisure? And of course it seems to be a dislike of L.A in particular.

At the moment, I'm hero worshipping the Bishop of Washington DC. She has immense guts in speaking truth to formidable power. The problem with the American presidential inauguration is that, unlike the British coronation, there are no mediaeval uniforms and gold carriages. It's all very sober. Having said that I have only caught a 10 minute glimpse of it!

The mystery of our universe revealed to the naked eye. At 6-00pm on the 12th January- Sunday evening, we see a full moon and if you look carefully slightly above the moon and to the right, we see Venus as the brightest of stars. This is Being & Motion in the world, is a sublime mystery and beauty.

This was the Winter sun rising over Sefton Park in the City of Liverpool on Christmas morning. I felt it to be a metaphor for the Light coming into the world. It felt very special and there were only one or two people at that hour to see it. We all wished each other Happy Christmas - btwn strangers.

Happy Feast of the Epiphany everyone. The Magi arrived to worship the Word made Flesh and that's what we do today.

It's so good to see The English young man Luke Littler as World Darts Champion at the age of 17 years. What a young genius he is and with such a good character. I hope at such a young age that he will cope well with all this success and celebrity and that he stays well balanced and grounded.

Yesterday was the 4th Sunday of Advent. Heaven and Earth are now getting closer by the day. 4 candles are now lit and we are waiting to light the last one on Christmas morning. The journey is almost complete! Dave.

An interesting thought which I read earlier is that ' The devil knows your name but calls you by your sin but that God knows your sin but calls you by your name'. That thought is what is important for God is you as a person despite your sin whereas for the devil only your sin is the important thing

Good morning Blue Sky Larks. I wish you all a Happy Saturday. This is a sunny platform as I have encountered it. I haven't seen the word 'hate' mentioned once and foul language expletives of the 'F..' kind are encountered rarely. This contributes to making the platform a welcoming & warm experience

So Francois Bayrou, leader of Modem is France's new Prime Minister. Also the Mayor de Pau in the South of France. It'll be interesting to see if he will last longer than the outgoing Prime Minister Michel Barnier. They are both veteran politicians but Barnier was brought down in a no confidence vote
