I think its funny that an animator like Crestamorph is really notable bc 3d mario character animation in the source material is pretty unimpressive outside of like 2 instances a decade (besides movies ofc) ..which is quite surprising for one of, if not *the* most recognizable gaming franchises ever

Ik people say "indie games that advertise themselves as a [established IP]-like is really reductive to the idea that the game is a new experience worth playing" But lowkey The alternative of your trailer just re-explaining to me what a megaman/metroid/star fox-like game is feels just as bad imo

Like you're doing the same shit just with more words and leading to the same conclusion I don't think games that replicate an experience are bad, and advertising said experience to find your target audience is fine too Though maybe your trailer should spend more time telling me what's new here

...like I'm not gonna grandstand and ignore the leaps and bounds 3D sonic fan works have gotten in the last 7ish years, with some of the best displays of understanding engaging level design and game feel in the franchise (I do not like Robo Blast 2), but the camera is the last element needing focus.

looking at Wolf's Smash Ultimate design is weird cus it doesn't bounce off of anything. Feels like this is the first iteration of Wolf in Smash that isn't directly tied to any narrative we've seen. I think the design is really cool in a vacuum but I don't think I'd care for a canon design like that

like, assuming that the next step forward in starfox disregards adventures and assault (or at least assault cus nintendo hates acknowledging it I guess??), I guess a Wolf in a custom jacket with way more details *could* make sense, but I just don't see a more put-together wolf outside of Assault's.

I think recent news about what popular media uses Ai in its processes and Sony trying to push to kill off physical games and GTA VI just doing whatever the fuck it's doing does mainly one thing on here Shines a big spotlight on corporate dickriders and losers that are happy to lampshade any issues.
