Happened to capture Sage's first bark while videoing this play session with Winston. Can't see her since she dove under the coffee table. #dachshund #dogsofbluesky

Maybe it won't happen at all, even if/after the Dems take control of Congress, but the first admin official that agrees to go on record about all the shit really going on before that happens is going to have a huge leg up on a deal from anyone else.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

😳 Trump loses it and SNAPS at a string of reporters, says Ilhan Omar might "go to jail," calls Somalia "a shit house," and boasts that thanks to a new program he announced today Americans "will make millions of dollars by turning others in" during absolutely deranged Oval Office event Supercut:

I wonder how this is going in a state that just set all kinds of heat records again. Dallas area had it's first September ever where every day was a high of 90+. They also had no rain from like July 17 to Sep 30.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Energy Secretary Chris Wright is now literally speaking at a Paxton rally: "Oh my God! I look at James Talarico -- he is the poster child of the climate cult."

I'm not a religious scholar, so I don't have a very good idea, but just popping to mind I though that Judaism allowed you to lie to preserve life, even denying being Jewish. Also, this admin's lies per minute ratio if off the charts, but I guess that's ok since it's a sin.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Markwayne Mullin: "This is affiliated to Prophet Muhammed. It says there's 3 reasons it's permissible to lie. One is war, one is to try to reconcile, one is when you're trying to persuade your wife to stay with you. Where does other religions say it's permissible to lie? Extreme Islam is dangerous"

Each year, state (and probably federal) governments should send an easy to read summary to taxpayers reminding them what their funds are used for. Here in WI, property taxes fund school, road maintenance, public safety, among other things. People think it just goes into a black hole.

Politico@politico.com

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

I really hope that this election is crushing for Republicans, the Make-A-Wish folks in this admin panic about being held accountable and someone agrees to disclose everything for immunity. Everything - Trump's health, the corruption, the discussion to get around laws - needs to come out.

Upcoming 6-3 Supreme Court decision: We will allow the administration to continue to remove trees from the course while the case is argued in court. If it's ultimately ruled illegal, we will ask the admin to say "My bad".

Norm Eisen@normeisen.bsky.social

BREAKING: the court has paused the Trump admin tree removal at East Potomac Golf Links, where we are contesting the dumping of toxic East Wing debris & creating a Trump golf course We raced to court with partners Democracy Forward & Lowell & Assoc, & filed for an emergency hearing--today at 10am!

Career OPS & WAR (Fangraphs) of the players Cameron Maybin mentions: Freeman: .890/67.4 Posey: .831/57.9 Pence: .794/29.6 Sandoval: .773/18.8 Young: .787/25.3 Kinsler: .777/47.3 Two Hall of Famers and a borderline 3rd. I'm sure the analytics guys were so lost on them. Ps. Maybin: .697/14.5

Baseball has such an abundance of ex-players who are too dumb to realize they were using analytics their entire careers and if they weren’t it was why they sucked

Many people don't know while dachshunds need food, they actually survive on face licks. Deny them their appropriate amount of face licks (which is all of them), and they will wither like a neglected house plant. #dachshunds #dogsofbluesky (Second pic the one time after I denied Sid a face lick)

This tracks. Americans didn't think their leaders would be worthy of being pursued by the ICC, but here we are.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Mike Waltz on the US sanctioning the ICC: "We could see a situation where they even go after American leaders. We never signed up for it."

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Markwayne Mullin on the Twin Cities: "They're gonna have to ask President Trump for help, and if they do, we can come up and we can clean that city up in no time, but they're gonna have to admit they were wrong first"

The amount of replies saying "Well, he's technically correct" is crazy. He's intentionally obfuscating so he can claim it's cheap when it's not. No one thinks of butter costs in terms of single sticks. It's equivalent to saying "an egg is only 40 cents" back when the price of a dozen was high.

Oliver Willis@owillis.bsky.social

Is that the "Big Balls" dude up there? You know, one of the many DOGE-bros that should be in prison?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

scenes from an authoritarian cult -- Trump signs an EO, and then all of his cronies keep clapping and clapping for him since none of them wants to be the first one to stop

Any time he makes this statement it should be required for a reporter to note that through the Presidency his net worth has gained 10,000 times what the President's salary is and then following that up that he's making the President's salary something like every hour he's in office.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "You got me for nothing. I don't take my salary." (Trump has made billions in crypto schemes while president)
