Cancer Update Thread 1/6 When 2026 started, I was regularly posting updates about my cancer recovery, workouts, getting healthier and stronger, and eventually returning to work. Then, somewhere along the way, I just kind of got away from social media.

Yeah, Arabs contribute nothing to math and science. Remind me again, where we get algorithms from? And while I think of it, who invented the distillation process? And who mapped night sky?

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

I am not going to pick on evangelicals because God knows my former Catholic faith was like this too. it all comes down to fear. They need you to fear that love for thy self. They need you to fear life without them and their rules. Because that is the only way they know how to control you.

THE SINS THEY TAUGHT ME TO HATE A poem by Siren I was raised on love with conditions, on grace with a gate, on people who taught me to love my neighbor then handed me a list of neighbors I shouldn't be.

In my years since becoming a citizen, I had never been harassed while voting until today. A lady followed me out to the parking lot, and after hearing my accent as I made conversation with one of the volunteers, started questioning me on where I was from and was I supposed to be voting

This person wasn't an official, but just a random person who overheard me. And I will also point out that a town employee who witnessed it intervened and told the woman she needs to leave the property immediately, or they would call over the police officer.

"Well, I'm not going to bring up and talk about the fact that the mother of his children is his cousin. I don’t know if people know that or not." - Senator Susan Collins, another Republican sack of shit #Maine

Many of these companies were already morally bankrupt, so I am not surprised, nor am I surprised that the pedo and drapist President and couch humper with his nose up pedo's butt are doubling down on defending the ads

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

I was going to say. Usually the reason is just "Life"

Why do couples sometimes go days or weeks without having sex? The most common reason isn't a lack of desire or relationship conflict. It's simply that sex "just didn't happen." https://www.sexandpsychology.com/blog/2026/10/22/what-really-keeps-couples-from-having-sex/

This Halloween, if a child doesn’t say “trick or treat” or is missing part—or all—of their costume, please don’t ask, “What do you say?” in an attempt to coax the words out of them. And please don’t ask, “Where’s your costume?” or “What happened to your costume?”

There’s a good chance that child is neurodivergent. They may struggle with sensory sensitivities that make certain clothing unbearable. They may be nonverbal or partially verbal and unable to say “trick or treat.” There may be challenges you can’t see and don’t understand.

They’re doing their best to navigate a world that wasn’t always designed with them in mind. Every child deserves to experience the joy of Halloween, exactly as they are. A little patience, understanding, and kindness can make all the difference. 🎃❤️

I will hardly ever use “unfriend.” Until this AM, I’m not sure I ever have. But in a Facebook political argument that got heated, a friend came at me with: “You were a sex worker. Don’t you think it’s hypocritical to question other people’s character?” Yep. That did it. Unfriend.

Yesterday, my 5-year-old son was the “Big Cheese” at school. Each month, one student gets the honor, with special activities throughout the day—including show and tell, where they share a game, toy, stuffie, or activity that means something special to them.

That’s one of those things you get to witness as a parent that is just really cool: watching your child develop a genuine passion all on their own. There was no prompting or encouragement. He just found something he loved and ran with it.

And yesterday, I got to watch him stand in front of his classmates and teachers as the “Big Cheese,” proudly sharing his collection and talking about something he loves. He was so happy. And I am one very proud mom. 🥹🧀🪙

He takes so much pride in his collection. He carefully puts the coins into his collection books, and every so often he'll sit down and go through them, admiring what he’s collected.

Between Walt Disney World and Disneyland, he now has more than 400 unique coins. 🤯 And the coolest part? Neither of his moms collects them. We didn't introduce him to this hobby. He discovered it entirely on his own.

For his show and tell, my son chose something that has been a huge part of his life since he was 2: his Disney pressed coin collection. 🪙🏰

He became completely obsessed with those pressed coin machines—the ones where you crank the wheel and a penny is pressed into a commemorative design unique to that location.

Gave in and turned the heat on this morning. It was 33°F outside and 62°F inside. In the past, we would have just headed off to work and school and left the heat off. But now that my partner and I both work from home, our home offices were getting a little chilly!

I am trying to decide what is more troubling: Trump saying in his speech yesterday that he is OK with the nuclear annihilation of Los Angeles and San Diego and the deaths of 16 million Americans as a result as it would be a small price to pay, , or his supporters hooting and cheering as he said it.

I think I've hit a mom homer with this one, so I have! Now that himself is five, I need him to start being a bit more self-aware and accountable. Yesterday we rolled out his "responsibility chart",

I was well prepared for the pushback, but he's delighted with it altogether and well eager to be earning his points On night one he got checked off for getting himself ready for bed, reading his books, and brushing his teeth. This morning he got checked for getting himself dressed. #momsky

While binging Colin From Accounts, I keep seeing commercials for Sildenafil and ThiTadalafi (Ro Sparks) featuring Megan Fox. The ads are almost literally saying "if your dick isn’t hard right now, you probably need this medication" #tvsky

Locktober Day 3 FLR Post: In a Female Led Relationship ) FLR), both partners practice trust: one learns to let go of control, while the other learns to wield it with care, respect, and responsibility. 💕

My entire life I have been taught how not to be raped. "Don’t wear this." "Don’t go there." "Don’t post that photo online." "Don’t drink so much." "Carry pepper spray and your keys in your hand." I am tired and fed up with society making it the woman’s responsibility for men’s behavior.

People in ethical non monogamous (ENM) know this all too well. Anxiety and jealousy will still always show up; it's just a matter of knowing how to navigate those amotions together

Feeling secure in a relationship doesn’t mean you’ll never feel anxious. It means learning how to navigate those feelings without always letting them take over. Here’s what people with anxious attachment need to know. www.sexandpsychology.com/blog/podcast...

Locktober Day 2 FLR Post: One benefit of a female-led relationship (FLR) is that negotiating rules together builds a habit of honest, specific communication. By clearly expressing needs, boundaries, and expectations, couples strengthen trust and deepen their connection. 💬❤️

October is the month when many couples embrace chastity in their relationships for “Locktober.” For some, it’s a tried-and-true annual tradition. For others, it’s an opportunity to explore something new for the very first time

Male chastity often goes hand in hand with female-led relationships (FLRs). Each day this month, I’ll share a reason why chastity and FLRs can benefit couples and why they may choose to explore this dynamic together.

Locktober/FLR Day 1: FLR and chastity forces explicit conversations about desires, boundaries, and expectations that many couples never or seldom have. Each partner learns more abut the other, and the couple grows stronger.

An important thread as we begin National Depression Education & Awareness Month

Short thread 🧵 1/ October is National Depression Education & Awareness Month & Breast Cancer Awareness. Many of us may be experiencing various forms of depression and may not be aware of it especially during these difficult days with this administration. There are signs that… #SheShed #Pinks

Happy October, friends, and happy #Locktober to those participating! 🔐 I honestly can’t remember the last time I was someone’s keyholder. It was pre-pandemic. Sigh. 😅 But I’m shaking off the dust, lacing up my boots, and getting back out there! 🥾😉 #chastity #femdom #flr

Bittersweet MLB postseason for me. I grew up a Yankees fan in Ireland with me da. Yankees postseasons were our thing. This year, my da and I have had a major falling out, and we are not talking. So fuck it. Fuck the Yankees. Fuck my dad. Go Red Sox!

Even though I’m a bit younger than Sharon Horgan, I feel like I’ve grown alongside her. The arc she’s created through Pulling, Catastrophe, Bad Sisters, and now Youth resonates so deeply with my own personal life journey. #TVSky #television

Started watching Youth tonight and really like it so far. It’s incredibly relatable watching Sharon Horgan juggle career and parenting as a middle-aged divorcee who’s constantly horny. Anchored in real moments, funny without trying, and Horgan’s nonverbal communication is top-notch. #tvsky #hbomax

More for me, then! I loved the churros! I have to say. Disneyland kicks the balls right off Walt Disney World when it comes to snacks. Their snack game is so 🔥

Enchanted Seawitch@tideandtransit.bsky.social

I can now save with confidence that I am just not a churro girl. I have never been a fan. But people would tell me "East Coast churros are trash; you need to have a California one at Disneyland." So I have done that now. And, still not a fan. 😂 Just not my thing.

Recovering from 11 hours of overnight air travel, jet lag, and a week of Disney beating the hell out of my Xennial body. Thankfully, Zoom only captures me from the waist up, so my clients have no idea I'm wearing ratty, paint-stained leggings and pink fuzzy socks today

So glad both of my nieces bucked the trend and embraced their sluthood early on. 🤣 Raising good sexually empowered humans.

A growing number of single adults (22%) report that they’ve never had sex. Reasons for being a “late bloomer” can include living with parents longer, sexual anxiety, not being ready, and sex simply not being a priority. https://edition.cnn.com/2026/09/05/health/late-bloomer-sex-wellness
