The US has a high control religion problem compounded by a home school issue.

Biggest mistake of LeBron’s career. Worse than the TV debacle “taking his talents to South Beach”!

Spooky Blaylock 🎃🕷️@velodus.bsky.social

I don't think you can come down hard enough on any athletes or brands who partner with these parasitic companies. LeBron is asking his fans to engage in a product that's overwhelmingly likely to just rob them of their money. It's so gross.

Yes. Republican logic.

Tina in the PNW@tinajpnw.bsky.social

Okay. So I'm clear. They had invalid/fraudulent signatures on a ballot measure petition to force unnecessary proof of citizenship to vote. So they wanted the Supreme Court to okay fraud to prevent fraud? My head hurts.

Captured SCOTUS is mailing it in at this point.

statman-stu.bsky.social@statman-stu.bsky.social

Totally convinced that this Court, full of GOP partisans, work backwards from their desired GOP/MAGA outcome to find the rationales needed to get there, like standing. This Court must be expanded by DEMs to fix these outrageous decisions, that have virtually nothing to do with legality.

Replying to @jamellebouie.net

OMG that means if an attorney files a brief with SCOTUS by its deadline, but Alito doesn't read the brief until later, the brief wasn't filed at all.

Why is the release of SCOTUS decisions performative rather than clerical?

They were always going to hand that opinion over to a gate agent as they were closing the door on their flight to Harlan Crow's private leopard Hunting Lodge

I taught US history and government for many years and was always careful not to include a current president in any discussion of presidential rankings. We need time for evaluation and perspective, I'd say. But the past year and a half have been too stark to ignore. Worst. President. Ever.

Is this how government is run like a business? I’m asking for a friend.

He never had the money to pay for the ballroom. It was always a scam. We were always going to have to pay for it. They were just waiting for the right moment to hit us with the bill. This is now the time.

And the other crashes before this resulted in heads hitting the dash or windshield. The paramedics told us to just shake it off.

One Hot Mess AK@libbybakalar.bsky.social

Imagine devoting your life's work to perfecting the seatbelt and then the first time there's a serious accident every occupant of the car goes flying right through the windshield. This post is about the founding fathers.

I’m still waiting.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation. Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

We need these people! Just in 1 minute, 99% of Americans couldn’t do these jobs this well. Without immigrants our food supply is fucked.

These are the people that make America great 🇲🇽🇺🇸

After all these years of Americans being brainwashed to thank fascists for their service, it’s never more obvious that they love simping billionaires’ property rights. They don’t give a damn about our human rights.

From The New Republic’s Michael Tomasky, in his article yesterday, “The Only ‘Judicial Coup’ in This Country Is By Trump Against Judges.” “It’s funny. But it’s worth noting that Trump doesn’t always chicken out. Most of the time, he just loses.

If Trump tweets in a forest and nobody is there to see it, did he really tweet at all? Maybe the guy would die if everyone stopped paying attention to him. (Looks like another Trump lie or exaggeration to set the internet afire)
