Doctors Without Borders has said Gaza is now a "mass grave". Gaza, which has become an open wound in the Arab and humanitarian body, is still resisting death with every remaining pulse - but for how much longer, wonders our Palestinian journalist Alaa Shamali www.thecanary.co/global/world...

Netanyahu's illegal war has killed 50,000 Palestinians. Now, Trump wants to force out 2 million more to build a billionaire's playground in Gaza. That is ethnic cleansing — and it’s a war crime. Next week, I will force votes to block $8.8 billion in new arms sales to Israel.

Reporter Said Arikat asks State Department Spox whether the U.S. is concerned about Israel’s blockade on Gaza, now in its 16th day: “Starvation [being] used as a method to pressure people. Isn’t that a war crime?”

ICC Crime against humanity: using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare by depriving them of objects indispensable to their survival, including wilfully impeding relief supplies as provided for under the Geneva Conventions

The start of a new week often floods the mind (and body) with worry. What needs to get done? How will I do it all? What am I forgetting? Ignoring these thoughts isn’t realistic, and there’s evidence to suggest trying to do so makes us worry more. Scheduling “Worry Time” may help. Continued ↓

Worry Time: 10-15 minutes, every day or as often as possible devoted to worry. Journal or don’t. This may sound counterintuitive, but the idea is that when we devote specific time to our worries, they become more manageable and less likely to interfere with our work, relationships, and well-being.

There are so many moments from this meeting that fascinate me through a psychological (and Real Housewives) lens, but Trump repeatedly growling “don’t tell us what we’re going to feel!” is high on the list. If only the stakes weren’t so dire and the callousness to human suffering so ugly.

Many of us are figuring out how to cope with the fear and uncertainty and fear in 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴. A simple, daily breathing or progressive muscle relaxation exercise may help make space for and manage worry in just a few minutes: www.michiganmedicine.org/health-lab/3...

Breathwork is sometimes dismissed, but, especially for those of us who may literally “forget” to breathe, it can make an enormous difference. A goal is to try to cultivate an awareness of the breath and its effects on body and mind.

Trump said he wants to “clean out” Gaza and push the millions of Palestinians living there into neighboring countries. There is a name for this — ethnic cleansing — and it’s a war crime. This outrageous idea should be condemned by every American. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

The nearly unanimous confirmation of Doug Collins as Secretary of Veterans Affairs will likely have devastating consequences including barring the VA from providing abortions for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest, or even to save veterans’ lives. This is a bipartisan failure.
