I write things. They often rhyme. Otherwise, there's often no rhyme or reason. πŸš«β‚³β€ŽβΉŽΖ—βΉŽ

I don't care what the answer is. I just wanted to be a question worth asking. I just wanted the words to have face value; for empathy not to be confused with hypocrisy.

For NYC locals, consider checking out Buskerball on Saturday. It is free and in the park this year! A day full of street performers and artists. I know most of the folks and they are great folks. I will also be around and I will write you a poem about almost anything. buskerball.com

You know how you sign up for a free month subscription to that service and maybe you milked it for everything it was worth and watched all the stuff that excited you, or maybe you never got around to it and squandered the chance to experience joy if but for a fleeting half hour at a time.

> Am writing. > Looking up kinds of wood siding to sanity check myself. > Wait, where geographically is this building so I know what kind of roof it has? > Actually, the place they're heading to should be further south for its climate. > Looks at map. ...

> Oh I guess that's actually fine. > Let me just adjust a few things though. > Am now playing with the map and not writing. This is why it takes so long to write a book. #Writing #Author #WorldBuilding #WriterSky

My two cents on IP theft that may get to litigation: Don't just fight for compensation. Demand that the data models be destroyed. If you steal a car, you don't get to keep it. Any fines and damages are just going to be a drop in the bucket for these billion-dollar companies. ...

The precedent needs to be iron-clad that unlicensed use of content is not tolerated. If even one included work doesn't have a binding contract or express license for use in these training models, burn it down. Corporations would bury you for less. (See: Disney, Napster, etc.)

Maybe you'll never develop magical powers or discover a grand destiny or be summoned for some epic adventure, but absolutely no one can stop you from entering your Don Quixote era.

If you point out your editing services on a post where nobody asked even a little bit, you do not have the reading comprehension skills I'm looking for in an editor. #Authors #AuthorSky

I don’t have imposter syndrome. I think I have cool ideas and do a good job of executing them most of the time too. The problem is that I’m barely functional in every single other aspect of life and that makes it really challenging to execute them, and especially to see any gains by it.

The only writing challenge I do is WriNoRiNo. Write a Novel Right Now Just write it right now. Start today. Keep going. Don't stop. You can do it. No constructed guidelines. No pressure. No failure. Stay motivated. Don't give up. I believe in you. #WritersCommunity

So, fellow #Authors. Because I save a new copy of my drafts for version control each day I write, we can do some fun maths. I am at 17,628 words (roughly, considering headings and things) for my active WIP. ...

My first draft was saved on January 23, 2020, which means I have averaged just about 10 words a day since I started on the story. I have 76 files, which is the number of days I actually worked on the manuscript, meaning I averaged about 232 new words each session so far.

It is a slow journey, and there have been many challenges to progress, but I am still putting in as much time as I can to complete it. I'll get there, one day at a time. #WritersCommunity
