i also had to stop using my logitech mouse w/ 37 shortcut keys because macs detect it as a normal mouse, so it’s a tough transition

nationalize the airlines or regulate air travel (min seat sizes and legroom, no junk fees, etc), its insane that we’ve bailed them out repeatedly while they keep making everything part of the experience impossibly worse

i love paying $30 for a premium seat so that i can have as much legroom as a normal economy seat from ten years ago. it’s not even my money and i’m still annoyed.

i’m shocked how different the demographics are between ultimate frisbee and disc golf. the median ultimate player is an overachiever type; the median disc golfer is somehow a juggalo

The "centrist" think tank Third Way is looking to pay someone between $140,000 and $150,000 to spend their days trying to dig up dirt on DSA members. They're trying to sell this gig as "anti-extremism" work, which I find completely disgusting.

when i moved to WA my first psychiatrist was 1000 years old. he fell asleep repeatedly during every session, usually for 30 seconds at a time, & i never said anything. one time he was out for 5 min & i was afraid he died so i finally said something; he woke up and adamantly denied he was asleep

he prescribed me two meds that don’t mix because he forgot he’d already prescribed the first one. it ended up fine but i stopped going to him. i wonder if he’s still practicing

if you want to see normally sclerotic do-nothing local governments suddenly snap into action, do some quietly beneficial tactical urbanism type thing like this and watch how quickly they race to remove it
