who ran the Sunbeam Corporation into the ground? Or Kenneth Lay who led Enron into bankruptcy? Or Kelly Killinger who was forced out of Washington Mutual just before it collapsed? Have you ever considered the possibility that malicious actors might hack into your systems, perhaps using the very AI

tools that you are marketing, to generate weapons with which to attack military and financial computer systems? Have you ever considered implementing some variation of Asimov's three laws of robotics as a way of preventing automated systems from harming humans?

Questions for the AI tech bros when they finally get grilled by Congress: Why do you think it's a good idea to obliterate millions of American jobs? Why did you force elected officials to sign NDAs? Why do you think the American people should give you as much water and electricity as you need,

even if they have to cut back on their own usage? Did you ever tell the American people what you were planning-- like during the '24 campaign? Have you ever heard of the American Constitution? Do you think the country should be run like a business? If so, have you heard of "Chainsaw Al" Dunlap,

It's strange that so many Americans don't seem to realize that Trump 2.0 is really just Project 2025, which is really just the battle plan for an authoritarian coup. It's true that Trump and Vance denied that Trump's '24 campaign had anything to do with Project 2025. But it's pretty clear now that

MILLIONS of jobs. Both of these two movements have the potential to destroy our society. The goal of Project 2025 is to replace our representative democracy with an authoritarian plutocracy. The goal of AI is to eliminate millions of jobs and make the wealthiest people in the world even more

It's strange that so many Americans don't seem to realize that Trump 2.0 is really just Project 2025, which is really just the battle plan for an authoritarian coup. It's true that Trump and Vance denied that Trump's '24 campaign had anything to do with Project 2025. But it's pretty clear now that

they both lied. Most Americans are only now beginning to understand what the AI companies are really planning. They're not just planning to slurp up all residential electricity and water. They also expect massive tax breaks, NO regulation, and a guarantee of immunity. All that so they can eliminate

AIPAC is going all out to defeat El-Sayed. That organization seems to live, eat, and breath hate. Maybe they don't realize that the Supremacy Clause explicitly means that the U.S. can never become a theocracy. Or maybe they're just a bunch of $*!@#$&% bigots. Or maybe it's both.

The noise about immigration and transgender kids and non-Christian candidates has drowned out the dribbles of information we get from Gaza. But it sure appears that Israel is on an all out campaign of ethnic cleansing. And if you call it out or ask questions you will be deluged with charges of

anti-Semitism. Trump and Netanyahu seem to think they can convince other nearby countries to accept all of the remaining Gazans for {goodies}. And then Trump will be able to build a lovely new resort for the ultra-wealthy where Gaza used to be. If that's where this is going, it's sick. 🤢

Suggestion for candidates who get asked to disavow the Muslim Brotherhood or other groups or individuals that they have nothing to do with. Say the following: Yes I disavow the {group or individual disavowed}. Do YOU disavow Project 2025? Because THAT is a battle plan to overturn our representative

democracy and transform it into an authoritarian plutocracy. AND the Trump Administration has been actively working to implement it. Suggestion for responding to the claim that the U.S. was founded as a Christian nation. Say: Article VI of the Constitution includes the Supremacy Clause.

That clause identifies the supreme law of the land. And is that supreme law Sharia? Or the Ten Commandments? Or Chairman Mao's Little Red Book? NO! The Constitution identifies the highest law of the land as... the Constitution itself.

The U.S. Constitution needs a serious overhaul: 1. Make it easier to amend. 2. Eliminate the Electoral College. 3. Eliminate the Senate, or replace it with a body that represents people, not states. If replacing it, it must represent a different aspect of the American character than the House.

Congress has standing to sue the president for violations of the Emoluments Clause. 11. No financial trading by any elected official while in office. 12. All elected officials must release their tax returns. 13. Prevent the president from withholding funds approved by Congress. 14. Prevent the

president from firing government employees without cause, and guarantee a means of redress for wrongful termination. 15. Executive Orders must have a maximum 30 day life, and can only be extended 1 year at a time by Congress. 16. Ban gerrymandering.

4. Age limits for SCOTUS and for all elected government officials. 5. A guarantee that every president gets 2 SCOTUS appointments per four year term. 6. Rebalance the House (doesn't require an amendment). 7. Reverse Citizens United. 8. Codify Roe vs. Wade. 9. Codify the ERA. 10. Specify that the

that it were possible to flag such attacks, a user who hurls too many such attacks could be subject to disciplinary action. The website yourlogicalfallacyis.com lists 24 types of fallacies, including ad hominem. Ideally a social media platform should be able to flag all 24 types. But let's start

The major social media platforms are designed to keep people engaged. It appears to be a basic fact of human psychology that fear and anger keep people very engaged. Maybe we should try to invent a social media platform that minimizes fear and anger. Consider ad hominem attacks. They can be very

hurtful-- and very effective at stirring up anger. What if a social media platform were able to flag ad hominem attacks. Not delete them-- just flag them. It would help people understand that ad hominem attacks are little more than grenades that are hurled purely for getting a reaction. Supposing

Ilhan Omar is an American citizen, but the Trumpies are conducting an investigation into alleged fraud that may have been committed when she was 12. They're doing this because they want to strip her of her citizenship. Some Trumpies seem to think that Native Americans aren't "real" citizens. Where

Trump's blatant support for Russia and betrayal of Ukraine will be remembered as a far worse capitulation to an autocrat than Neville Chamberlain's "peace in our time" boast. America has truly gone off the deep end. 🤢

I'm almost to the point of thinking that we need state-by-state referendums on staying in or leaving the Union. A U.S. version of Brexit-- except those that vote to leave form their own separate confederacy. It's really just an American civil war without the blood.

Too much government spending is VERY BAD (except when the GOP does it) Fraud in government or commerce is REALLY REALLY BAD (except when conservatives do it) Betraying our allies is UNFORGIVABLE (except when a GOP president does it) A president who violates laws passed by Congress is a TRAITOR TO

THE CONSTITUTION (except when the prez is a conservative) A president who governs by executive order is a DICTATOR (except when the prez is a conservative) A president who accepts gifts from foreigners is IN VIOLATION OF THE EMOLUMENTS CLAUSE (except when the prez is a conservative) On and on...

Trump's "plan" for the Russia/Ukraine war is to arrange a business deal between himself and/or Jared and/or Don Jr with Vladimir Putin-- one that would enrich all parties. THAT, Trump thinks, will bring Putin to the table to negotiate peace. He no doubt has similar "plans" for Iran and for Israel

vs. Gaza and/or Lebanon, with Netanyahu in place of Putin. But what Trump doesn't get is that Putin doesn't care about financial deals. He's only interested in bringing Ukraine back into the Russian fold. Netanyahu seems only to be interested in annihilating every Palestinian in Gaza. Business

deals just don't matter to him. Trump's entire approach to foreign policy is to subordinate matters of state to his own personal business interests, on the belief that commercial deals (that benefit him and his family) will inevitably result in peace. He's an idiot.

There will be a lot of people in Alaska and Maine who will have to choose between heating oil and food this winter. Is anyone organizing a fundraiser to help?

The cancelation of health insurance for 760,000 American citizens because they HAD NEVER MADE A CLAIM just shows how stupendously ignorant the Trumpies are. Would that make sense for FIRE insurance? Or AUTO insurance? NO! It is absolutely monumentally STUPID!!

To our neighbors in Alberta who think that cozying up to Trump will guarantee you U.S. statehood: 1) Trump doesn't have the power to do that 2) You're far better off staying in Canada I say that as a U.S. citizen. Vote HELL NO on the 9.

Something I don't get about the current immigration "debate": farmers voted overwhelmingly for Trump in '16 and '24, which i interpreted to mean that they approved of his immigration policies. But don't farmers already have the best possible deal? They want cheap labor that can't organize: check.

They don't want to pay for any benefits: check. And they don't want any accountability: check. The Reagan administration created the EVerify system for U.S. employers (including farmers), but they hardly ever use it. When ICE raids a business or a farm it's the workers who get rounded up, never the

employers. But it's illegal to hire someone with invalid ID. The purpose of EVerify is to give employers a way to check ID. So it seems to me that farmers have already got a pretty sweet deal. They've already got their cheap labor and no responsibilities. What more do they want?

Musk's twiddling with StarLink (to prevent Ukraine from targeting Russian data centers) and with X (to block comments on Russian lies about Talerico) are all the proof we need that Musk's products aren't utilities. They are weapons that he feels free to wield however he wants.

Ukraine's destruction of Russian server farms has proved that a huge amount of Internet traffic is bots. Soooo... if Internet companies were to filter out bots, Internet traffic would be greatly reduced and we wouldn't need so many data centers. Seems like a win-win, right?

I want to see investigations EVERY DAY if the Democrats retake the House and/or Senate. BUT let's just remember that the House did a thorough investigation of the events of Jan 6th 2021, and conservatives paid absolutely no attention to it whatsoever. Instead they dismissed it as "weaponization."

A public execution of the Fort Hood shooter-- or of ANY convicted criminal-- is just one more step down into our descent toward barbarity. Yes he deserves execution, but it should be done out of public view. BTW I have concerns about capital punishment as it has been applied unevenly in the past.

So how did the GOP become such a juggernaut if all of its governing principles suck? Simple-- it's the conservative gravy train. The GOP is aligned with business and businesses have boatloads of cash for lobbying congressmen, recruiting young talent, and supporting business friendly spokespersons.

For a raging "America First" campaigner who constantly claimed that all the other nations of the world were SOOOOOOO unfair to the U.S., that they were all using the U.S. like their private piggy bank, Trump has sure gone out of his way to give Putin every opportunity to sell his diesel (despite

sanctions). AND he has said and done nothing to prevent Putin from providing Iran with targeting info. He's a traitor to the citizens of the Unlted States-- and of Ukraine.

Trump's traitorous deal with Putin lifting sanctions on Russia in exchange for Russian diesel will give Russia much needed hard currency, and that will enable Putin to prolong his war against Ukraine. Trump is a traitor to the U.S. and to a vulnerable ally who has been battling Russian aggression.

Question for constitutional scholars: now that the courts have determined (in 2020) that U.S. senators do not have standing to sue the president for violations of the Emoluments clauses, who DOES have standing? Or is it now the case that those clauses are completely useless?

Just a reminder to those who may have forgotten: Corporate taxes were cut from 36% to 31% during Trump's first term. We were told the tax cut would kick the economy into a new realm of 3% to 5% per annum growth-- PERMANENTLY. Businesses would use their tax windfall to purchase new plant and

equipment, and would go on a hiring spree. AND the cuts would PAY FOR THEMSELVES through growth. So what happened? Most businesses used their savings to buy back their own stock (thereby causing the price to rise). No new plant and equipment, no new jobs, no dazzling new growth. It was a scam

Can someone please explain to me why a successful woman like Megyn Kelly would defend the Cornell rapists? I don't understand why a woman would feel no sympathy for the victim. Don't get it. 🤷‍♂️
