someone please explain to me why my local AMC hasn't even posted showtimes for tomorrow evening 😤😤😤😤

Been thinking about this a lot lately: when the term "vibe coding" was coined it had a very specific definition. However, I'm now seeing the term used to describe any AI-assisted development. Is there a more appropriate term for AI-assisted coding where you're not judging the written code at all?

just replaced the bag in my bagged vacuum for the first time and OH MY GOD the boomers were right bagged vacuums are so much better

still thinking about the minneapolis retail store employee who asked me to spell minneapolis while giving them my address.

Just had the privilege of invoking Minnesota's Digital Fair Repair Act with a company that refused to provide a replacement part, but would accept the entire unit for service. It's literally a two-inch water intake filter. I'm not shipped an entire bidet back and forth just to have that installed.

Shoutout to Ambrosia Software for releasing essentially a keygen for all their software after the company shut down! Love that I can still use some of these apps and games.

from here on out I kindly request that all photos of me be taken with New Nintendo 3DS XL. Thank you for your attention to this matter 🙇

I know it doesn't look like much, but this is a Genius playlist generated on an iPod containing songs released in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Considering Apple stopped updating Genius data over a decade ago I think this is pretty exciting!

really getting my money's worth out of my a-list subscription this weekend with tickets to Your Name (which I haven't seen), The End of Oak Street, and La La Land!

you ever write a nice little function and spend the next several hours just admiring how nice it is? love me a good lil function

heads up the internal AES hardware of the fourth generation iPod nano is much slower than that of the sixth and seventh, so budget more time for firmware decryption. just in case that's relevant to your Sunday activities.

tfw you realize the codepath you’re trying to reverse engineer is actually on the fifth generation iPod nano, so now you get to spend another two hours decrypting the firmware

will always be funny to me when artists say the name of the suburb the venue is in instead of the major metro area because why was Hilary Duff like "how are you doing Shakopee?!"

it's pride month so if you're a straight person covering a song and you change the pronouns to make it not sound gay that's homophobic

it's honestly a little wild that in this, the two thousandth and twenty sixth year of our lord, there's no access to Apple Health data on macOS

Well this is interesting: UPS delivered my package to the wrong address (a street over it looks like). Ten minutes later, they correctly delivered it to my house. I wonder how the driver was notified the delivery location was wrong?

I have a Lenovo Yoga C630, which has a Snapdragon 850 CPU. Recently a Windows 11 update causes it to boot loop, and there's no way to get a mainline Linux distro running on it. So I'm putting Windows 10 back on it. The recovery image has Windows 10 1803, so it has a lot of updating to do 😵‍💫

I really wish you could sign into YouTube on desktop the same way you can on a smart TV, just by scanning a QR code. Would be nice to be able to quickly sign in on my work computer where I don't have access to my passkey for my Google account.

I find it weirdly rewarding to port stuff to new operating systems, CPU architectures, and library versions. Things like making sure an old audio processing library compiles on Apple silicon, removing bad path separator assumptions, and updating ancient .NET Framework libraries for modern .NET.
