Erstwhile photographer, bicyclist, Zelda addict, and greatly relieved ex-Republican (2011). Untethered from the facts. Woke and weaponized. I voted for Hillary and Kamala. www.tfrog.com/2022/

And another thing... Ceedee Lamb is an all-world talent, but, my god, he's a shit. I didn't see Pickens taunting the Philly crowd, and he's arguably a better receiver. Saquon Barkley shows that you can be all-world and still embrace sportsmanship and be a total nice guy. #eagles

I consider myself a mid-information voter. I wouldn't know anything about the Sunday talk shows without Aaron Rupar. Aside from the fact that Republicans routinely go on these shows and lie their asses off, who's watching? CNN, NBC, CBS... Not exactly MAGA audiences, I'm presuming.

Rosie the Runt loves our local West Goshen park. Only 31 acres, but two baseball diamonds, tennis courts, a newly improved basketball court, a soundstage for movies and live performances, a kiddy play center, and a paved perimeter walk of 0.8 miles. And the best dog poop bags available throughout.

Perfect. It's just perfect. We followed Joe Biden, the personification of empathy, with a crew that rejects empathy in all of its forms. Because, of course, we did. And you'd think the lesson was obvious.

Had Monday Night Football on while scrolling endlessly through Bluesky. Looked up to notice a whole bunch of betting lines on my screen. Oops, I still had NFL Network on. Quickly switched over to ESPN. Matthew Stafford is Elon Musk's younger, hairier brother.

2026 was the 40th anniversary of the first #LegendofZelda game from Nintendo. I bought access to the original Nintendo games, Super Nintendo games, and now Nintendo 64 games. New to me is Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time (also pre-ordered the Switch2 version of Ocarina, coming on 11/5).

No. No, no, and again no. "Please take a moment to share your feedback" emails keep coming from every business I ever have contact with. Stop it. (The latest came from CVS because I got a flu shot.)

There's a federal judge hearing a case involving trees on a golf course who is having the same problem I've had since 2016. Who the hell is Donald Trump that so many willingly give up careers and legacies in service of his obvious crimes?

'Tis the season. A very small black speck on the side of Rosie's nose turned out to be a tick. I HATE THOSE THINGS. I'm glad we have a white dog. Check your animals carefully if they've been outdoors. (Rosie at the park after the fringe of a hurricane went through. Volleyball pit was flooded.

As I watch Washington and New York heading into overtime today, I will always remember when Donovan McNabb was unaware that an NFL game could end in a tie. He was probably thinking of college rules, with double- or triple-overtime.

I've heard over the past couple of days that Trump is considering an attack on Iran before the midterm elections. The idea that he can just kill any number of people to sway American voters is revolting. But it fits Trump's brain to a T. Human life has no value. Anything to retain power.

Since they were last in the Super Bowl (OVER 30 YEARS NOW), they have a 262-222 record (0.540). The great Tony Romo: 2 playoff wins in 10 seasons. The great Dak Prescott: 2 playoff wins in 10 seasons.

What would lead you to believe that the Cowboys are a good team? They are a .500 team, which is where they are. All the rest is Jerry Jones marketing genius, making something out of a perennial nothing. Thirty years.

Attending a big event next weekend, so I'm getting my COVID booster and flu shots tomorrow. I wear my face mask (still) when I go shopping, not because I'm out in public, but because you all are. As an aside, PA is the largest outbreak of measles in the country. The American public is pathetic.

Penn State dropped out of the AP Top 25. Phillies were one-and-done in the playoffs. Eagles lost their 2nd game today, showing major cracks. If the Republicans somehow manage to win in November and keep Congress, I don't know if I can take it. I'm begging you all - get out and VOTE Democratic.

Trump didn't like the numbers coming out of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, so he fired the woman tasked with compiling them. I look at the numbers from July, August, September, and the constant revisions of previous months, and wonder why investors would trust this administration's numbers.

Here's what the AI chatbot Claude had to say about the AI security "deal" Trump and tech executives signed today. 😅

David Gura@davidgura.bsky.social

NEW: The White House and several AI executives — Sundar Pichai, Dario Amodei, Mark Zuckerberg, Greg Brockmam, Elon Musk, and Jensen Huang — release a “Joint Commitment on Frontier Responsibilities.”

Again I have to ask. If Pumpkin Spice is so great, then why don't we have pumpkin spice this and that all year long? Like George Carlin said, if "Winston tastes good like a cigarette should," so how come there's no tobacco flavored ice cream?

WIRED article claims: "At a local level, over 500 candidates running for state legislator positions in November are members of far-right groups on Facebook." If you don't want to vote for a white nationalist, easy solution: vote straight Democratic ticket. www.wired.com/story/these-...

wired.comThese Extremists Are Running for Election in NovemberWith the threat of political violence at unprecedented levels, state and federal GOP candidates are openly sharing racist, pro-militia, anti-vaccine, sexist, antisemitic, and secessionist views.

No more Monday Night games for the Eagles, please. Their nonexistent pass coverage just made a 61 year old 3rd-stringer who hasn't played in a football game since 1987 look like a sure Hall of Famer. Next up: LA Rams, who also have to figure out a few things.

>sigh< I just think football programs should be more about, y'know, football and less about non-entertainers trying to be entertaining. P.S.: I never could stand Michael Irvin, but every time we have to relive those glory days FROM 30 YEARS AGO. Get over it already.

The good news (for Phillies fans) is that the Phillies are up 7-1 halfway through the 6th inning. The bad news is that Zach Wheeler has thrown 96 pitches and is likely done for the day.

I tease my wife for taking dog out for a walk in a hurricane. (I know, I know, nor'easter.) Western suburbs of Philly, we get drizzle. Down the shore, they get flooded. But we have New Jersey to protect us from extreme weather. That's why PA is one of the best places to live. Thanks, Jersey.

I would pay one actual American dollar, backed up by the full faith and credit of the U.S. stinkin' A., for a good football program on Sunday mornings. One I could actually watch, anyway. ESPN, Fox, NFL Network... it's all insufferable garbage.

Okay, newspapers, this one really burns me. Reading an article, there's a link, I click, and it takes me to "X." I avoid X like the plague. I don't know why you maintain your account on X. But I WANT TO KNOW it's a link to X before I click on it. The link URL is always munged so I can't tell.

As expected, our new budget payments for heating oil in the coming year is up. Way up. Like, 70% up. Add this to our electric bill being up 33% over last year, and Donald John Trump is costing us real money. November 3.

My super-helpful electric company sends me email advice on cutting down on our electricity use. I guarantee, there is nothing that we are doing differently that would cause our electric bill to be 50% higher than it normally was. It's not us. I guess I would call this "gaslighting."

@joanwalsh.bsky.social in The Nation: "Is it too soon to say farewell to Speaker Mike Johnson? [If the Democrats win the House]…there might even be debate over whether he gets the title of GOP minority leader.” Goodbye, Little Mikey. We hardly knew ye. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

thenation.comA Premature Farewell to the Ignominious Speaker Mike JohnsonIf Democrats win the House in the midterms, as expected, Mike Johnson won’t hold the gavel in any meaningful way again.
