I read this every year, and there's a line that always stays with me: “All we know of him becomes a measure of what we know of ourselves.” Every year it asks something new of me, and I know the weight of it will never lift for the families who lost someone or for those who answered the call.

We should absolutely move New York to Super Tuesday.

The DNC on Saturday adopted a new early state calendar for the party’s 2028 presidential primary. South Carolina will kick off the Democratic primary for only the second time, followed by Nevada and New Hampshire.

Sterling and I come from different parts of the country (he’s a former goldfish farmer from Arkansas), but we were raised to believe in the same promise: America isn’t a zero-sum game.

Our neighbor’s freedom to live their life doesn’t lessen our own. A new family arriving doesn’t take our seat at the table. And our democracy can’t be bought, because it was never any one of ours to sell.

That is a promise that belongs to each and every one of us, 250 years on. But it’s one we must choose every day: generation after generation, in what we fight for, who we welcome, and how we show up for each other. This is our moment to keep it. 🇺🇸

You’ve heard me say it a million times over the last year and a half: You know 5 people who know 5 people who know 5 people… who haven’t voted yet. Tag or text ’em right now and make sure they get to the polls before 9pm.

Big Ag and their lobbyists hate that I’m running to break up the meat industry and lower your grocery costs. They’ve rigged the economy, undercut our farmers, and robbed us of freedom for too long. I welcome their hatred. 🔗 www.wsj.com/business/sen...

We were robbed of healthcare and hospital funding to send more bombs abroad, and now we’re paying $4.25/gallon in #NY21. I’m the pro-worker, anti-war Democrat running to replace Elise Stefanik. End the war. Tax the rich. Put our families first.

This house party was special because Greenfield is where my dad was principal for over 20 years. He taught me to believe in every person’s potential. If you had Mr. Hewitt, your kids did, or if you know someone who did — then you know that I’ll never be a Congressman who questions your self-worth.

When I started this campaign, a doctor told me something I haven't been able to shake: their patients would rather die at home than drive over an hour to get care. 🧵

In the richest country in the world, no one should go without the care they deserve. I'm running for Congress to fight for Medicare for All and give Annie, Orrie, Kim, and every family like theirs a life of dignity.

Every single day, I hear from our neighbors that this is what keeps them up at night: Annie, a restaurant worker in Warren County, told me she and her husband went without coverage this year because they were too scared to check the new prices on the marketplace.

That was before this administration stole healthcare funding to fund ICE and another war. Now our hospitals are already laying off workers, and we're staring down a 114-mile stretch that will become a medical desert.

The same people who robbed $2 billion from the North Country’s hospitals now want 100x that to bomb hospitals in a war nobody asked for.

Business as usual won’t cut it. This is our moment to organize working families across Upstate New York and fight for universal childcare, Medicare for All, and safe housing. I’m proud to have @citizenactionny.org in that fight. Join us!

Citizen Action of New York has announced another round of endorsements for key federal, state and local races. Today’s announcement marks our fourth round of endorsements for the 2026 election cycle. The full list of 2026 endorsed candidates can be found at cit.ac/endorsements

We deserve a leader who actually believes in our self-worth and will fight for our freedom. It’s why I’m running to break up corporate power in Washington and finally take on the monopolies squeezing the North Country.

I’m grateful to have the Saratoga County Young Democrats in this fight with us. We deserve a new generation of leaders who will stop using our tax dollars to fund another forever war and start investing in young working families here at home.

These aren’t just numbers. They’re our family, friends, and neighbors we depend on. When Elise Stefanik voted to gut Medicaid, she knew NY-21 hospitals would be pushed closer to the brink. We shouldn’t lose our care while corporate health systems and insurance companies rake in billions.

Standing room only at today’s meet and greet in Saranac Lake! This is our moment. The momentum is on our side, and we are organizing to win. If you haven’t signed a petition or want to help get signatures, send us a DM (and send to 5 friends to do the same) 📲

I stand in solidarity with the teachers, nurses, firefighters, and public employees fighting to fix Tier 6. When I get to Congress, I’ll pass the PRO Act to protect our right to join a union and fight to guarantee everyone a dignified retirement. Union strong! #FixTier6

I’m deeply proud to be from South Glens Falls. Every year, our students organize to help #NY21 families pay for healthcare. Tonight they raised over $735,000. This is the place that taught me to organize, and the people who made me who I am. They are why I'm in this race.

Tonight I'm thinking about Annie, a waitress I met who is about my age, and how she told me that her husband and she decided to go uninsured because they were too scared to look at new prices on the ACA marketplace without subsidies. Somehow there is always enough money for war.

This war against Iran is costing US taxpayers approximately $11,500 per second. According to iran-cost-ticker.com the total cost has already reached $5.5 billion.

Trump is sending Americans to die because Netanyahu wanted war.

Joaquin Castro@joaquincastrotx.bsky.social

Secretary Rubio's remarks indicate that Israel put U.S. forces in harm's way by insisting on attacking Iran. And the administration was complicit—joining their war instead of talking them down. This is unacceptable of the President, and unacceptable of a country that calls itself our ally.

The reality is that the Epstein Class thinks of us as disposable, and they will force another generation to die in Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal war just to line their pockets. He has blood on his hands.

Trump: Earlier today, CENTCOM shared the news that three U.S. military service members have been killed in action… And sadly, there will likely be more before it ends. That’s the way it is. Likely be more.

Families in NY-21 are getting priced out of the communities we all love — all while big corporations make record profits. That’s corruption by design, and I’m running for Congress to end it.

Fighting the monopolies means restoring the freedom they’ve stolen from us. It’s time to end Trump’s tariffs, use fair trade to open markets, and build local supply chains.

We should have the chance to stay in the towns we grew up in, and I’m fighting to give us the opportunity to thrive. It's time to lower costs and actually make life affordable.

Our families deserve a fair shot at success, and I’m fighting to keep their futures strong. Universal childcare. An expanded, monthly Child Tax Credit. No more stealing from healthcare to bankroll ICE.

I'm the only candidate in #NY21 who supports Medicare For All and is willing to hold the line against Kristi Noem’s masked agents terrorizing our country. The North Country deserves a leader with a spine — and I’m honored to have the @nywfp.bsky.social’s support in our fight.

I’m proud to be endorsed by @rokhanna.bsky.social, who led the release of the Epstein Files. This is a fight I’ve been in since my days as a campus activist standing up for survivors of sexual violence. And today I joined #NY21 to take on the Epstein Class. It’s time to end the corruption.

My partner Sterling is a goldfish farmer from rural Arkansas who grew up to become a senior advisor to the Vice President of the United States. Today is our 9th Valentine’s Day. He’s as grounded and resilient as the small towns that raised us. And I’m lucky to have him by my side in this fight.
