The timing of this no-show annoys me too. Maybe the players’ eyes were on Sunday but now we just look like we’re vulnerable. Not good.

Got what we deserved. Zilch.

Stutter penalties should be banned. Stop. Doing. Them.

Meslier very much not yet the grandmaster

It’s been such a poor attacking performance.

Their goalie won’t need to bother washing his kit. That’s one less job I suppose.

I’ve just rubbed my eyes, having earlier cut chili, and it’s certainly raised my matchday experience to a new level.

You’ll never see a better goal. Gyok off the mark.

Dronal marking

Booing drones makes me feel old.

Enjoyed that. Thought we were good. Onwards.

Nothing less than we deserve. Good game, and thanks to the format, zero jeopardy!

Kompany is definitely not sinking if he by mistake falls in the sea.

Love that for Eze. Top top strike!

Milk it Noni, milk it!

Strong ‘January chequebook’ vibes from that half’s attacking output. But let’s see, because we do have a habit of switching up a gear in the second.

Huffing, puffing, nuffing.

Rest in peace Ken Friar. What astonishing service and loyalty to the Arsenal.

Amazing what a goal and a Bruno can do.

No way through at all. Bit worried.

I did not enjoy that three week international break one iota. Stewing on a 3-0 defeat for that long is inhumane. It should be banned.

Genuine question. If City have a ‘comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence’, why have they not presented this before now?

@arseblog.com Sharpening your scythe for player ratings?

What a shower of a performance.

Excellent half. Given the positional changes and youth, I thought this might be a bit disjointed. I was wrong. It was jointed.

Max 🤩

Lovely, controlled performance with steel when needed. And another for Martin Odegoals.

The end of this transfer window is giving me strong ‘my approach to Christmas shopping’ vibes.

Bag up those three points and move on. Lots to improve upon but that’s for tomorrow!

If we could pass to each other, it might be good.

I’m not sure what to say about this half, other than it’s nearly over.

@arseblog.com @lgambrose.bsky.social Lewis blanking you not once but twice after your ‘where Sabah ranks’ wordplay was brilliant. It’s almost like he was no years old when it came out.

€70m is a great deal for Arsenal. Wish Gabi well, obviously. But I wonder how the rest of his career pans out now.

Good luck Reiss, it’s been a far more stop-start career than it should have been. And am I right in thinking he’s the last of our squad to have played under Wenger?

What a lovely day

Perfectly acceptable game of football. Off we go.

The way we’ve gone about trying to sell players this summer feels a bit — grubby?

Terrific little half, that.
