Cats have awoken and are being tyrants so I won't do more right now but I was making this robots gun extra fun and pretty until they started ripping up boxes and chewing on plastic 😭 It'll look really good tho when I'm done I think. I love these new metallic markers 😻

Got Fragile built but I still got the weapons to do. They'll be done tomorrow since they're the most tedious part. Not looking forward to them But man what a weird, refreshing design

Huh that's so weird ACVI Fragile doesn't have an ankle pivot but instead it has two swappable pieces that can angle the foot straight or at an angle for standing Never seen this before...

Tomica Premium Initial D AE86 Trueno To top off getting the Tomica HK Taxi earlier this year I found and decided to get the Takumi's famous Trueno. This is such a well made toy. Compared to the Taxi the internals are fully sculpted

Built MG Gundam Mk V One of my grails. This is without question one of the must own P-B kits. One of the largest MGs I've built and despite the size it's quite simple. Efficiency and effectiveness is the MO. The presence this kit has is fantastic with the giant accessories

Nothing super complex or detailed about this, but it results in a no-frills MG that is free of stability issues or bad tolerances. Incoms are a bit annoying to pose with, but it's one of my favorite MS from Sentinel and something I'm very lucky to own. imgur.com/a/PZXHCjp

Built 30MS Shielder/Mash Kyrielight (Paladin) I've dreamed of this. Mash finally on my shelf and in her most powerful getup, Paladin Mash looks absolutely stunning with those metallic plastics. All out with parts separation, only missing colors are the back of the shield

Despite heavy armor, she poses well, though there are limitations, the biggest one is the shield. It puts everything off balance and can only be held from the center. Still, this filled a deep hole in my collection and heart. Mash deserved no less imgur.com/a/WCyaSPf

Finished If You Stay An indie VN yuri game made by YukimiSoft as their first project, this short story is about Yumiko, who decides to run away from their hometown after getting exposed as lesbian. Before she goes, she gets a call from her gf to have one last date

Highly recommend giving this a read. Bias aside, it's 2 hours, short, and free. What better reason is there? It's a story that the writer, yasmine, clearly wanted to tell and put herself in, and for that, I see incredible value Looking forward to more!

Addenum: I have to eat myself I wrote this entire thread mixing the name of the heroine Fumiko with the dev's name YukimiSoft I need to not write these when I'm in an emotional daze after work LOL

There's just so much love in this game. All the visual references to otaku media, other adv games, but past that the setting and vibe is so obviously inspired by games like Yu-no or Kanon. You can feel love for the medium and experience in it.

Sound design was stellar, I give hats off because the sound was smooth and felt authentic yet modern. I loved even something as subtle as the train sliding doors. Good stuff. There were a few minor typo and grammar issues, some things to work on! But overall, I'm satisfied

This can lead to a lack of attachment and I feel there's not a lot of lightheartedness in the story, which is 100% the point. People who want to relax won't get that much of that here. It's very much intended to be treated as a serious emotional story, and that's fine!

I absolutely adored Yumiko. She's such a sympathetic and honest character. You can feel the writer in her & that's what makes this whole game special IMO, you can really feel this was a narrative and story the writer wanted to tell from their heart to the world

but the little we do have, you can get a good sense of their personalities. It's very much earnest and up front. Yumiko's mental state is constantly struggling and her thoughts are very scattered. You don't get Mika's perspective as much but the narrative trusts you to catch it

The game almost entirely focuses on those two and even more, Yumiko is a huge majority of the focus, to the point of partially being an unreliable narrator since you only see her perspective. Other characters do appear but they are minor.

The first comparison I have is ONE in my head. There's a casual nature to the setting but the world is inherently very melancholic. Yumiko's situation is hardly enviable but unfortunately common for many queer individuals. The story doesn't hide this, it puts her baggage up front

I do appreciate this as the tone of the story is generally very consistent: the tensity is palpable and even the happy scenes seem fleeting. Even one thing can send everything spiralling, understandable considering Yumiko's life. We don't get a lot of time with the cast-

The thing that immediately grabs me is the presentation. Visuals, music, and style are evidently emulating PC=98 stories, it's an evident intent. Even the way the train doors are shown on the screen harkens to the 4:3 ratio. Immediately I can say, god this game is comfy

Not the best angle or pose but it's super late and I just want to go to sleep Finished Paladin Mash. She's very nice. Definite improvement over Cas as a product

Built GBC Gundam Exia Repair IV Finally experienced the praised GBC Exia. The main plus is the sculpt. Being based on the MB, it captures Ebikawa's design to a The articulation is pretty good albeit awkward to handle. That being said I can't help but feel a bit let down

Fitment is one thing but some seams straight up can't close, and the hands can't hold things well. It also falls apart in some places, so glue is advised. Not a bad kit by any stretch, but it's fiddlier than most people say and could use some refinement imgur.com/a/UOD8y2S

I just finished riting my own letter to Maeda, it felt bittersweet, but gratifying Words could never do justice the gratefulness I have to that man, and as weird as it sounds, I hope my one letter is drowned out Because a man like Maeda deserves no less than thousands

Got distracted the whole day building this GBC Exia R4, it's surprisingly complicated Fitment is one thing but it genuinely feels like there's parts that just aren't designed to close together. Either way I just about managed to finish it. Accessories tomorrow!

Finished Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter I've already beaten the OG, 2nd takes everything I love about it, adds a bunch of QOL that I appreciate, has a gameplay style that vibes with me more, and it's a remake that fully captures what I like about the original

Without question one of the best experiences I've had with this franchise. Getting to come back to where it all began for me and experience the joy that got me hooked on it again was worth every moment. Recaptured perfectly. Thank you so much for making this game.
