I don't believe you were a teenager in the 90s if you don't randomly still get Tha Crossroads by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony stuck in your head on a pretty regular basis

Well apparently I am the only person who didn't like Carrie... Can we stop men from heading up projects that tackle feminism? You are literally proving the point of how bad the patriarchy is... Use your male powers to hire women & promote the work of women

I don't think we need 50 different podcasts talking about the same 5-10 right wing media assholes. I know how mean that sounds but I think if you're trying to start in 2026, you've already missed the boat

I always feel like an alien when something is really popular & I have absolutely no desire to watch it/listen to it/see it/etc. "Everyone is doing it!" works the opposite on me because I will reject it even harder. Popularity is rarely an indication of the quality of something.

In the same way that artists becoming rich & famous separates them from their audience or the communities that they are trying to be a voice for, as soon as an elected official is elected, they become a politician & therefore inherently untrustworthy as they are now part of the government

Why is everyone trying to make me care about this Elizabeth Holmes documentary? I literally don't give a fuck about this woman & how she scammed a bunch of limp dicked billionaires into giving her money for something that was & is impossible to do. Billionaires should be funding art not fake science

Right now some of the biggest news stories are about sexual assault & child abuse & it isn't at all triggering to those of us who have experienced these things πŸ™„

My sister just made a snarky comment about dudes who only date skinny white girls & I had to remind her that she herself is a skinny white girl...

The US is putting people into concentration camps & deporting people to countries they've never been to, but the news is focusing on celebrity drama bullshit. If I didn't already know I'm crazy, I would think I was going crazy

I've been watching Carrie & it reminds me of The Walking Dead Season 2 - Negan (I stopped watching once they got to Negan*) Meaning that when it's good, it's really good but most of the time it's just kind of boring & annoying, but the lead & main supporting actors are (mostly) great

Oh no. No. What did they do??? Telekinesis took a backseat to high school bullying for the entire season & then became THE story?! I hate it. I get what they were going for, but that was so painful & poorly executed...

*The character may have worked with a different actor but holy fuck that dude was TERRIBLE in that role & he looked like a doofus. Also they killed off Rick not too long after that so I would have stopped watching anyway. Daryl was also terrible. That's right I said it. Fuck Daryl Dixon

Today I had to stop myself from telling a co-worker that a patient was a believer in sovereign citizenship & that's why we were having issues with them. & that was just because I literally didn't feel like explaining what a sovereign citizen was...

Civitech sent one of their fake voter registration forms to somewhere I haven't lived in over a decade saying that I'm not registered to vote at that address. Yes, that's correct 🫠

Or β€” So & so gets SO intense. They yell & jump around so they are a good actor. Again, no. Unless the role calls for it, usually if an actor jumps around &/or screams a lot, they just don't know how to actually create a character & they're just throwing shit at the wall

Orβ€” So & so always does voices, wears crazy costumes, or makeup/prosthetics to ~transform~ into characters. πŸ™„ This is costumes, makeup, &/or prosthetics showing up to work, not acting skills. & anyone can hide behind a stupid little voice. If they do *a voice* every time, they've got nothing else

One of my favorites isβ€” So & so does Method acting, so they are a good actor. Yeah, no. Just no. If the only acting technique that you can name is Method, you need to sit down

Today I realized that some of the anger I'm feeling is because I was projecting what I wanted my brother to get out of therapy & treatment, not what he wanted. I'm also mad that it wasn't what he wanted. He was just going through the motions instead of actually working on his maladaptive behaviors.

I have to accept that. Not everyone takes therapy or substance use treatment seriously. & again, I'm concerned that if he's still not taking any of it seriously, I fear he never will. But I also refuse to spend all of my time feeling sad or just waiting for him to die. I've been there before.

I'm not doing it again. He makes the choices for his life & those choices make me angry, but being angry isn't helping him or me. Being angry has no effect on him & it eats at my mental health & happiness. I hate that I'm at this point in the story, but it's where I need to be in order to stay sane.

I think it would be appropriate for all of the politicians & billionaires who threw away their reputations defending Trump to be sentenced to spending the rest of eternity sitting in a small room with him

I'm not actively seeking out information on the Cornell story, yet I keep coming across it everywhere. People do not care about this young woman or any survivors of sexual violence for that matter. If they did, they wouldn't be going out of their way to constantly retraumatize us.

Colorectal cancer is on the rise in younger people, but insurance still doesn't cover preventative colonoscopies until age 45. Further proof that the US healthcare system is about profit, not health.

When I went back to therapy in 2021, I was such a mess that I wasn't even able to articulate the emotions I felt. Jump to 2026 & I spent this week's entire session articulating all the variants of anger I'm currently feeling
