🌱 Our SECOND field trial of the #EcoFutureUT project is now established at #Weiherhof! Next up: our third and final trial at #Kleinhohenheim. Together, these trials will show how #EcoFuture_KAP4 performs across different soils and farming practices.

🌱 The first #EcoFuture field trial has been established at #Kastanienhof! We are testing #EcoFuture_KAP4, a multi-component biostimulating fertilizer combining fermentation substrate, long grass, biochar and endophytic fungi. Next: trials at two additional farms.

♻️ At #Kastanienhof, tree prunings are transformed into biochar. The heat from pyrolysis is reused for biomass drying and greenhouse heating, while the biochar becomes part of our biostimulating fertilizer #EcoFuture and returns to the field to improve soil health and store carbon.

🌱 At the #Phytotechnikum research greenhouse at the @unihohenheim.bsky.social, we’re testing new multicomponent #fertilizers in pot experiments with tomatoes and lettuce. The aim: identify the most promising formulations for future field trials and practical use in organic crop production 🌾.

🌻 Building better solutions for organic farming starts in the lab 🧪 We’re developing and testing EcoFuture UT #KAP4, a multi-component biostimulant fertilizer for #OrganicFarming, to find the combinations that work best before scaling up to real farm conditions 🌾
