Great to see this work finally out! This study should serve as a helpful resource in better understanding the clubroot virulence. Cheers to @asimjaved.bsky.social and @edelplopez.bsky.social for leading this global effort.

How does the clubroot pathogen evolve to overcome crop resistance? A global question needed a global collaboration 🌍🧬 Four years ago, this project started with a simple question: Could we bring isolates from other countries into our lab? Luckily, colleagues from over 20 countries said yes! 1/5

Together with Stephen Strelkov and Maxim Prokchorchik, we combined three datasets: 192 isolates from 24 countries and 53 chromosome-level genome assemblies, forming the most comprehensive Plasmodiophora brassicae pangenome to date. 2/5

Reminder to everyone! Come to the UQTR to talk plants science!

I know we are busy but I hope you can join us this November at @uqtr.bsky.social for the Eastern Regional Meeting of the @cspbscbv.bsky.social. A great opportunity for students to present their research, practice oral presentations, and get awards 💚 event.fourwaves.com/fr/cspb-erm2...

It has been a while since we welcomed new students, and this week we are very happy to welcome our new PhD student, Mariam Tallat! 🎉🔬 Mariam is originally from Pakistan and joins us after completing her Master’s in Entomology at Henan Agricultural University in China. 🇵🇰🇨🇳🇨🇦 Welcome to the EdeLab! 🥳
