An innocent artist (a USAF Vet, Boo!), who likes puzzles, travel, beer and tapas, and tasty contracts with verifiable Royalty clauses, and also clever merchandising contracts, and dinner parties, Yay! - not in that order

My favorite framing shop invited me to display my work for a month in their front window! I was very touched by the gesture. It's a storefront on the busy and friendly main drag in Brattleboro, Vermont. my Mermaid portrait cannot Wait to hold court again in public, some time in January next, LOL.

New stuff again, a handy bronze doughnut - otras esculturas diminutivas recién horneadas, esta como si fuera para “hechar una mano” con un bunyol bien duro.

a pair of troublemakers, fresh from the foundry. Toby posed for this figure some time in the late 1980's. Bronze, about six inches tall, Copyright 2026 by Edward Huse

a bear cub is outside having black sunflower seeds, he bent over the feeder like butter. He is so emaciated and thirsty, that I don't have the heart to chide him - besides, it's too hot out for either of us, and for mama bear who is not very far away! I hope he finds the water dish.

A question for printmakers and other artists who plan ahead It's easy enough to give away art supplies, but, what should I do with my copper plates? I only pulled a few prints from each but, I might never do another print again I am curious to hear everyone's ideas and plans for disposition.

I went on a Raku tear, pinching three or four dozen chawan - tea cups. I am thinking of a thick, yummy, white glaze w one or two cobalt dots on the outside, black on the inside. Some are in red groggy clay for low fire, some are for cone 5 "black" clay. I love my new kanji stamp for signing them.

Tobies - one for me, and one to show - wax originals, out to be cast in bronze. - siempre gusta ir a la casa de fundición, aqui dos de mis figuras masculinas peques, con toques algo surreales. About six inches tall (c) 1985/2026 by Edward Huse.

- I think I will have a new copy cast in bronze of my old study of Toby, next time I drive up to the excellent Vermont Castings foundry for the current piece up there being poured. - Me da por sacar el molde de mi antiguo estudio de Toby, para mandar fundir una copia nueva en bronce

The mountains hid a wonderful place, that showed itself now and then, skimming the prairie's boxes and strips, in a mist of where and when. ... from a WIP by Edward Huse [ - I can't help rattling off drivel driven by prompts perceived in others' posts, and sticking the result into the ESA box]

Lagree would recite Coleridge-Taylor and Wordsworth from memory. Legare “Lagree” Van Ness, bronze, (c) 1987/2026 by Edward Huse. I love it in polished bronze. My original portrait was clay, raku fired, with oxidation/reduction to produce a rich glossy black.

they say, that there are no "small commissions" - a new commission for another small work in bronze, a humble hood ornament - a detail / detalle de un trabajo nuevo para un cliente coleccionista de coches. Terminado en bronce, adornará la proa de su furgoneta - para/for a 1958 Chevy Apache pick up.

re-posting - me pidieron ayudar en eliminar un tio agobiante detras de la pareja - my first effort at helping with a request on Bored Panda, to do something with a couple's favorite vacation pic - to eliminate the fat guy in the background. - I love helping.

more old stuff - "Thunderhead Mountain, Hancock, Vermont", acrylics on panel (c) 2002 or so, by Edward Huse [another one that was stolen by someone I trusted, lol - I only have this image at all, because I uploaded it to redbubble.com]

I was helping someone prepare for his move to Spain earlier in the Summer - after setting up his new bank account, the bank manager introduced some of the bank's products, including a comprehensive health plan - no co-pays, no exclusions, flat yearly fee of about $2700 for a 65 year old dude!?!?

I always come away from a trip to Spain, in mild shock at all the hugging and cheek kissing that goes on in the course of an ordinary day in Valencia - far more friendliness than I have experienced in Vermont in 25 years, where "cold" isn't primarily a descriptor for Winter weather.

- part of my second litter of small sculptures, including more tack hooks, and new door knockers lefties and righties, wax to bronze - parte del grupo 2 de mis trabajos en cera, hechas bronze, ganchos para los establos de un millonario y media docena de picapuertas

- we have a small chalkboard on the porch for visitors to write a note on if we aren't in - one day, I walked outside to find a young girl of about 10 or so, who was writing on it. She had picked some flowers and was asking for a bag for them, she thought it was an iPad - I will never get over it

3) through the busy dining room, through another, past the busy entry vestibule with waiting line of people, across the busy veranda populated by round tables and lazy chairs filled with people, down the granite steps and into the garden. Thinking he might be exhausted ...

2) I sat by the window, where a huge Dragonfly soon came seeking a way outdoors. The waiter said that he (the waiter) needed help to work the window (double paned an probably painted shut anyway), so I managed to catch him (the Dragonfly) in a water glass, covered it with a napkin, and walked him

There was no traffic, so I stopped and proceeded to forget the record button on my iPhone while I watched the cub trying out one tree after the other. His mother never showed, and when he jelly-rolled across the road in front of me and up that hill, I proceeded home to draw him from memory.

I think that I might have drawn this droll "Capitol Hill morning poem person" (300 block of A Street NE, you know who you are) for just such a tedious Thursday as we are about to have, today. I could be wrong.
