Our founders, though deeply flawed, understood that democracy requires an informed citizenry and a government accountable to it people. That’s why the press is the only profession protected by the Constitution. It’s also why autocrats and oligarchs seek to control and destroy it.

I walk around masked with sunglasses to evade surveillance. But I’m now switching to wearing a full mask like ICE agents do. This is the only way to stay safe now. They mask up, we do too.

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

Kamala Harris would not have illegally bombed a foreign country and kidnapped their leader. All folks had to do was use common sense in the voting booth but apparently that was a bridge too far🤷🏾‍♀️ If you did anything other than vote for Harris you helped get us to today.

I see the misinformation machine is kicking up to support Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Israel amendment. Advocates have a responsibility to be clear about what legislation does and doesn’t do. Her amendment did NOT cut off offensive aid to Israel. We shouldn’t pretend it does. My statement on it:
