Imagine being at $tsla when your CEO illegally diverts a corporate opportunity in violation of his duties of loyalty and care and sitting there now waiting while the company into which your assets were placed after being embezzled is determining how much you’ll get back in a merger. Criminal.

The Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. “She got the degree… [put on sunglasses] …but she didn’t pass the bar.” 🎸🎸🎸Don't get fooled again.

When the financial history of the 21st century is written, the dominant theme will be that it’s the time when access to capital and political influence obliterated any business focused more on capital deployment efficiency than capital acquisition. Bigger poker stack wins.

The related point here is how wealth concentration allows a country to “punch above its weight” on the global stage—through perceptions, military, celebrity wealth, and resource hoarding. Why do you think so many (of the privileged few) in the US want to replicate the “success” of fascist states?

Watch Tucker Carlson get a quick economics lesson after claiming Russia’s economy is bigger than Britain’s.

The FBI could find enough candidates who haven’t had sex with animals, but candidates also have to be politically aligned with the Director and the President. It’s the Venn diagram that’s the problem.

Honestly, I liken this message to the death warnings on cigarettes that only make them more appealing to risk seeking teens. Corrupted capitalism is failing more than it’s helping, and this sirens call will do nothing but help the DSA candidates who promote a stark departure from the status quo.

$2.2bb, which $shop is now classifying in the CF statement as “investment” rather than operational. Crazy world of leverage everywhere you look. Lever up or fall behind.

Effle@effle.bsky.social

For a Canadian company, $shop Shopify is the quintessential American company. Loan merchants $1.6bb to sell to customers buying with $AFRM buy now pay later loans. The entire world is built on financial leverage while underpricing tail risk because everyone assumes government bailouts and inflation.

Imagine Iran trying to negotiate a deal when they can clearly see from the Canadian tariff actions that their counterparty doesn’t honor agreements he makes anyway. Dealt with enough crooked counter parties to recognize you get screwed up front or screwed later. Wargames: only win by not playing.

Seems like we need to call for an electoral observation mission from OAS. Maybe get some UN technical support. If we’re gonna act like an immature democracy, we should treat ourselves like we treat other developing nations.

Why do they get to f around, and we always have to be the ones to find out? Give that MAGA/MAHA/DOGE team the explosive diarrhea and leave us out of it.

Fitting that Mitch McConnell will spend his last days on Earth further destroying our democratic underpinnings to strengthen his defining legacy.

Interesting how AI companies don’t like “unauthorized” access of the results of their models to train other models while openly snarfing the world’s collective creative output to train theirs. Also fascinating how vulnerable/low moat it makes a trillion dollar company look.

I may be alone, but with 60 days until the MOU allows tolls and whatever other stuff Oman and Iran dream up (and it could still all fall apart getting to a definitive agreement given the negative press), are all the containers going back in for fresh oil after they finally get out?

Everyone acknowledging this #Irandeal is bad, but bad for whom? Certainly most of us. But follow the money, Congress. You’ll probably find out it’s not going to be bad for the guy who signed it and his family unless you do your jobs and stop it from happening in plain sight. Again.

$300bb to Israel. $300bb to Iran. If you thought the US staking UFC fights was entertaining, have we got a PPV for you….

Bombing the Iranian schoolhouse, closing the strait, and then reopening it added around 10% to market values based on today’s close. Quiet, pawns.

When Wall Street insiders get to see the OpenAI prospectus details before you do, they apparently create a wave of market selling in the AI ecosystem. It can’t be as bad as SpaceX, right?

Mill Street Research@millstreetresearch.com

News that OpenAI has filed its confidential S-1 may be putting the massive new equity supply to the front of investors' minds, along with unwinding of leveraged bets on the big AI-related stocks. Volatility is clearly picking up again, and tends to cluster . . .

The feeling I have when people seriously debate SpaceX being fundamentally valued at over $1T is the same one I have when they debate the possibility of it being 4D chess from an administration that’s clearly lacking both global and self awareness. Total gaslighting happening en masse.

Pretty sure no one at Apple TV has ever used a DVR and avoided spoilers before catching up on an event after it started. Terrible design decisions they need to fix immediately. #F1

At least people weren’t dying and most indices were up during the massive China Trade Deal insider trading operation during 45….

When you’re projecting 7 years consistently above your inflation target, you make it very difficult to have the world believe your target is real.

I may be a former Air Force officer, but I’ve never invested in international real estate. I consequently have no ability to discern what’s happening nor to predict the next course of events.

It’s incredible most don’t understand how much control over their lives exists in a few hands. Please never ever talk about markets as “free” or having an invisible hand. The US is the most opaque command economy in the world, and it’s not to benefit most of us. finance.yahoo.com/news/fed-con...

finance.yahoo.comFed confirms it obeyed U.S. Treasury request for an unusual ‘rate check,’ weakening the dollar against foreign currencies“Something like this is extremely rare in foreign exchange markets,” ING says.

I dunno, @housedemocrats.bsky.social. They’re covering up pedophilia and refusing to prosecute murders by federal officers the whole world witnessed. That’s the line they’re comfortable crossing. It’s perhaps likely that your attempts to shame them will be less than successful.

It’s crazy that the QQQ 52 week low was 402. What a run for insiders who knew what the executive branch was gonna do.

Honestly thought it was all about money. Have to admit it’s looking like they’re compromised by much worse as well.

Options flow and broad liquidity will make people believe that $tsla is stronger because one or two other cash incinerators could be joining up with them to add to the $20bb of their own capex burn.

$tsla just described this curve as “exponential.” As a *cumulative* chart, it’s actually showing basically very little month over month growth. They’re lying.

Divert the corporate opportunity in violation of fiduciary duties of care and loyalty. Then divert cash. There used to be a word for this. $tsla

If you’re a prominent political leader fundraising on the situation in Minneapolis, maybe swing on through first. Otherwise, it’s just opportunism, and we’d rather provision those who are actually doing the real work in freezing temps as volunteers. Do something and THEN ask for help to do more.

NVDIA H200s in 2025/2026 appears to be another “China Trade Deal” 2018/2019. Good for bank trading and insider trading profits.

For anyone disheartened, remember there is no federal nor state statute of limitations for murder or manslaughter, including for accessories to these acts of violence.

If you wanted to go after credit card networks to help people and small businesses, you’d go after the US swipe fees, which are about 8x higher than in Europe. Imagine cutting “taxes” by 2% on nearly everything.

For the record, Monroe was mostly promoting Latin American revolutionary independence, and his Doctrine was about keeping Europe from doing what we just did. Times change, perhaps, but let’s not keep rewriting history as a matter of convenience.
