Eggs on Mars

Thank you to LAAND for hosting such a fun show last night! Next show is Wednesday, May 6th at Hillsiders with John Andrews & the Yawns and Fullbloods!

Show 20 of Fresh Ingredients is now up on Mixcloud & features a whopping great flood of intelligent pop: @thesuncharms.bsky.social, @andrewrumsey.bsky.social, @durutti74.bsky.social, @eggsonmars.bsky.social, Vemberlain, Radhika, The Pillars of Creation & Lord Fayrebank! & a new thing from Assistant!

Playing next on #FreshIngredients, the brilliant final track from the @eggsonmars.bsky.social LP, Good Morning (I Love You), one of the best releases of 2026 so far. This is beautiful; how to do an awful lot with just one line....

Week 20 of my radio show! Tomorrow’s episode features @thesuncharms.bsky.social, @eggsonmars.bsky.social, The Fall, Radhika, @durutti74.bsky.social & The Pillars of Creation. Plus loads more including a new Assistant demo sung by Anne Sophie! Sunday, 7pm on untidyradio.com

New blog post! Wrote about new records from Katsy Pline @paisleyshirt.bsky.social, The Problem with Kids Today, Sub/Shop, and Joel vs Joel @enigmaticbrunch.bsky.social @eggsonmars.bsky.social:

Legendary Beach Boys sonic mastermind Brian Wilson has died at 82

So this week can fuck off.

I can't help but think about Lynch and Wilson occupy similar zones too: 'aw shucks gee whiz' innocence meets eternal teenage romance meets brain bending cosmic expansion meets the absolute depths of loneliness. www.youtube.com/watch?v=46IQ...

Cool show in June!
