Also, forgot to post about this earlier, but happy birthday to Atop the Fourth Wall! It's been going for 18 years now and I have no plans to stop it. Enjoy the Clone Saga reviews from years past! www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day made Jean Grey into a villain!" ...as opposed to Fox haphazardly retconning Jean Grey into a villain who only seemed heroic in her prior appearances because Professor X repressed the darker aspects of her personality?

Okay, I have to ask…WHY the hate for Taika Waititi all of a sudden? Yeah, he directed a movie you didn’t like. But is that really ENOUGH to declare him the antichrist? Was he a Trank-level asshole or Singer-level unprofessional or Snyder-level stupid and arrogant?

I wish more people would have been as vocal about New Corp back when it owned the studio formerly known as 20th Century Fox. Jabs from the Simpsons and Family Guy come across like Murdoch's professional court jesters.

Or, they'll skip Ringo's solo movie. He's basically Hawkeye.

Sony is considering releasing all 4 ‘BEATLES’ biopics on the same day in April 2028. Another idea being considered is offering a 4-pack of tickets to encourage fans to buy tickets to all 4 films at once. (Source: www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...)

I wonder if anyone would care for a Wicked-style deconstruction of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (with legally distinct analogs, naturally). Maybe like, the protagonist is a Hermione type who fights against a socially darwinist Ministry run by Death Eaters with good PR?

It's funny how Carrie has become this sort of remakeable story much like King Kong or Invasion of the Body Snatchers, like there's so many different versions, for better or worse, but once in a while, you get a new version that's actually pretty good.

Remember, they only got as big as they did in the first place because Cameron gamed the box office system in his favour. Aside from a prolonged theatrical run most movies don't get, they were designed to work primarily within big premium 3D IMAX showings, not so much outside of them.

The James Cameron Avatar films answer the question: what if a nature documentary that had no plot or characters somehow managed to be very racist?

So, they're going back to the old method of Marvel Television, except this time, it's not a scam by Perlmutter to leech of the popularity of the films?

You know, maybe after two heavy Avengers films, maybe the following MCU X-Men film should be more lightweight. Like, there's nothing sinister about Professor X or his school, it's mostly just following Jean Grey as she makes friends with other mutants in a safe space.

Okay, if I may gush further about Spider-Man: Brand New Day... This movie to me perfectly rhymes with Captain America: Civil War. Not only is it a major shot in the arm for the MCU nearing the end of a saga, but it introduces a new face for the MCU ahead of an incoming reboot.
