In its present trajectory, AI will definitely wipe out humans. But it won’t be due to some Terminator-style fantasy. It will because its data centers will render the environment unfit for human survival.

The Greatest Generation was not Antifa. They fought against German and Japanese imperialism but then practiced Fascism when they came home. And then shipped out the Boomers to fight their own imperialist war.

First, “Medicare for All” is a cool slogan, but we need better. Medicare is too expensive. That being said, universal healthcare would take the burden of healthcare administration and subsidies off of corporations. It’s hard to believe that there isn’t more corporate pressure for it.

Gender is like race. It takes differentiated physical characteristics and imposes a hierarchy of stereotypes on the individual that most often prevents them from fully expressing who they are. Gender is as comfortable as scratchy sweaters. Some people can withstand the discomfort better than others.

Voting for me is easy. You can write my name in the write-in box and then fill in the bubbles accordingly. If you need to pull out your phone to look up how to spell my name, that’s completely fine. I hope I can earn a first place ranking on your ballot. Andreaformaine.com

If there is one lesson to be learned today, it’s that the line between law enforcement (the police) and state-sponsored terrorism (ICE and CBP) is a thin line, if at all.

I’m doing the numbers on Medicare. Out of the box, Part A only provides 80% of catastrophic coverage. For full medical coverage, for a family of four, it would require $811.60/month. To cover the 20% requires Part G, another $1000/month. Add another $40/month for Part D drug coverage.

These expenses don’t cover the deductible, which is now $283/year per individual. Medicare Advantage offers comprehensive plans, but these are for profit and there are real problems as the private insurers increase their profits. In short, Medicare For All would cost as much as subsidized ACA.

Let’s call them Nazi concentration camps. The only difference is that Nazi camps weren’t run for profit.

Mother in ICE custody asks to go to son's funeral—agents took her to a "punishment room" instead. "They took my clothes and left me all alone with a single blanket," she says. "That is how they punish me for having cried after telling me my son had died." Her 1-year-old baby still breastfeeds.

Before this country was born, white people here abducted non-white people and put them in concentration camps. They called them plantations. Later in our history, they called them prisons. Now, we call them detention centers.

Just want to remind everyone that “Love thy neighbor as thyself” is the centerpoint of Jewish morality. If our Christian friends want to embrace and observe this, it’s fine with me!

A convicted fraudster and adjudicated rapist with personality disorders and advanced dementia is elected president. The press debates the efficacy of his policy decisions as though he were a fully functioning human.

I remember when opponents of universal healthcare criticized the British system because you had to wait for an appointment. It looks like that’s what we have here except that we can’t afford it when we go.
