Just realized with the second viewing of The Devils that Oliver Reed looks a lot like my uncle/godfather from my mother's side when he was young. And I've definitely inherited more of my looks from my mother's side. Does that mean I have a bit of Oliver Reed in me? 🤔

There's no way anyone can convince me that golf is real sports. Hitting ball in hundreds of acres of cleared land dressed in some dumb-looking chinos, pretending to do sports.

My face when my kokoomus ass older brother said years ago that video games aren't a real hobby and contribute to nothing while he was playing golf.

I like how 90% of Steel Ball Run is just reminding the audience how Gyro has balls of steel. Like the biggest balls in all of JoJo.

A little over two hours and I'm off to see Ken Russell's The Devils uncut, uncensored and fully restored. Definitely a cultural achievement to get this here as well.

Almost a month of being sober behind, feels much longer than it actually is. But it's a start.

Alcohol has previously been the one and only ice-breaker for removing all the barriers around me and making me fully social without feeling tense, I hope at some point I learn some confidence without getting hammered.

Knowing at least something about anime fandoms abroad and which one's especially popular and where, it was definitely interesting and a bit funny to see a French exchange student reading One Piece scans (translated in French) at a lecture from their laptop.

Everyone's playing Control Resonant, so I thought it might be the perfect opportunity to play the first one finally. My first ever Remedy game. I'm a little busy this week, so I might have to take it lightly at first. #Control

Finished the base game. Underwhelming final mission, but I had fun with this one. The combat can be a bit rough, but innovative and rewarding once you get the hang of it. The story is an interesting mix of new weird, scifi, and X-Files influenced government conspiracies.

I'll definitely try out the DLC campaigns at some point to get more out of the lore, but as a first touch to Remedy games, this was an interesting ride. Funny how the gameplay turns paranormal things into a bureaucratic, mundane office job and succeeds at it.

Wow, 300 followers, I guess. Some of them are probably bots though.

Related, I like how the combat favors that of an aggressive type of gameplay where you're supposed to step into danger and fight back with all you've got, but there are so many cheap moments too. Like those nasty homing enemies that blow up on impact and come at waves.

Mandatory post for appreciating Quarry Threshold and its night sky, easily the most eye-catching location in the game so far.

All of the service weapons are fun to use, especially Pierce with the high risk high reward charged shots. But the endless waves of enemies that come across your path especially after dying and going to the nearest checkpoint gets tiring pretty fast.

Interesting how this game is essentially a 3D Metroidvania, a very rare of its kind too.
