well it looks like newcastle fans settled on the original option b from the fan consultation - which is probably the best out of what there was to choose from - however, that detritus to the right of the main badge is absolutely hideous.

nothing short of a complete embarrassment from farke, and not the first time. the final scoreline is utterly irrelevant, he watched a game completely change in front of him and did absolutely nothing to stop it - 4 goals later it was finished before he'd really even left his seat.

4th goal because the subs weren't ready. an absolute embarrassment from farke this, should be some very, very serious questions asked.

good game to be at that one, lots of fight in that second half, thought tanaka was excellent. will say west stand lower in front of the away end is an awful spot for a seat unless you get a chance to turn around and give it back and i did not turn down the chance to show off some sign language.

might not go over well but i'll say it. there's something about the tsb that has been lost, to time or to success, i'm unsure. the counter culture, organic roots of a fanzine is a very real feeling - but i'm feeling its absence.

now with professional advertising up around the stadium, and with paid subscriptions, it feels entirely like a business. it's starting to feel clinical and safe, it still has heart but for me it misses that intangible feeling of a fanzine, something made really out of spite of commercial gain.

i guess really it's just outgrown it's origin, becoming something else entirely. i love it and as a leeds fan it'll always have that huge impact on me during the dark days. but i do miss the time where it had that gritty feeling of 'fuck you we're making it anyway'. sad in a way.

❤︎ i'm always open to commissions btw, happy to provide support for branding queries, rough ideas or logo packages for companies, clubs or personal stuff.

second one in this series, REKALL from total recall, stuck to the original palette as really like that washed out 90's corporate feel. only really tweaked the type but i think it looks sharper.

always found fictional branding a good way to keep myself amused. in this case i decided to look at the iconic Weyland-Yutani from Alien, reimagined as a future-tech brand from the 2020's.

piroe gone then, odd player really, obviously a very talented finisher but he runs around like he's wearing work boots. i'll put him above mirco antenucci and below david healy for no other reason than because i can alright, what's it to you.

i once curated a digital art gallery of leeds united facebooks worst graphic design and i fear in today's age even the lowest return on creativity has been replaced by ai. truly a lost wonder who's absence is only beaten in its importance by, perhaps, the hanging gardens of babylon.
