although it's good news he wasn't charged, this situation is absurd. he was singled out in the crowd on suspicion of... what? filming a brief altercation between an agen and a protester? 1) this is a shocking attack on the press. 2) this is an attack on anyone with a phone's rights.

folks on scene told me he appeared to be singled out for filming a protester shouting KYS at an agent and the agent saying something along the same lines back. unless i'm missing something, it's not a crime to film two people arguing in a public street.

i'm tired of having to explain this to people, that it's not just about pronouns or whatever. there's a whole system of care and support that's absent for trans women in Chicago and across the country.
