I'm going to keep mentioning it, but to the commentators at the National Bank tennis open (and most other tennis tournaments/events), LEARN how to pronounce the names of the players properly! There is no excuse if you commentate the same players every tournament. Russian/Czech names always butchered

Why does there not seem to be some minimalist training stage in Marvel Tokon? I'm pretty sure just removing those laggy backgrounds will fix a lot of problems for players.

Top 16 EWC matches have been decided for tomorrow: Group A Booce vs Tokido Hinao vs Hibiki Moke vs DualKevin Lexx vs Mena Group B Kobayan vs Nephew Micky vs Yamaguchi Gachikun vs Higuchi Craime vs Lesha My prediction is that the winner of Hinao vs Hibiki probably wins the tournament, Kobayan too

Mena has a relatively easy match but after that it will get hard for him if Moke beats DualKevin, since Mena has had trouble with Moke in the past. Kobayan is a beast and should never be counted out, guy probably has the best reads in SF6.

Daigo almost had it against Mena at EWC. And what a story it would have been if it happened, but unfortunately Daigo went crazy on the dps and lost for it.

I really want to play Katara in Avatar Legends but I've been labbing her combos for a few days now and making slow progress. She has got to be one of the highest execution characters in the game and this just isn't looking feasible anymore. Need to find an easier character that I resonate with.

Avatar Legends is neat, currently learning Katara. It sucks that the game came out at the same time as the new Path of Exile league is about to start.

Last night I beat Aeterna Noctis, the hardest metroidvania game I've ever played. I strongly recommend this game for anyone who wants a serious challenge. The game is also quite long for a metroidvania, map is huge. The game is on sale now on Steam, 80% off. store.steampowered.com/app/1517970/...

KGP is on, a big Japanese event featuring MANY fighting games at high level, some of them pretty obscure. A note about the schedule, it says the channels are kgpch01, 02, etc but there should be an underscore before the ch. So, it's actually kgp_ch01, etc.

I'm still not sure what the new tiers are after the balance patch for Kof15. The consensus when I ask the community is that they are waiting to see Xiaohai and M's teams because you know those have to be top tier.

I haven't really followed anime in a long time, but this Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games might be just what I needed. It's really not what I expected it would be like but I love it.

Battle Arena Melbourne 16 is streaming live from Australia. This is a CPT, SWC and GBVSR World Tour qualifier, so a lot of international players have come, such as Gamera, Kobayan, Sahara, Higuchi, Madkof, Llon, Nuckledu, DualKevin, NoahtheProdigy, etc Bracket: www.start.gg/tournament/b... #FGC

Damn, GO1 has decided to withdraw in the middle of the EWC tournament due to his health concerns. Hate to see this kind of thing happen and it's even worse that he was one of the players likely to win the tournament. #COTW #EWC

My thoughts on Evo 2026 this year as a viewer: COTW matches were generally pretty good but I was disappointed how towards the end of the tournament, players collapsed against Xiaohai, especially Fenrich. It was like the Wong factor, except much worse. They looked paralyzed to do anything.(1/x)

I just have a big problem with the core SF6 game and the fact that Capcom seems to be making it clear that they have no intentions to move away from their vision regarding strike/throw and throw loops, and the notion that it is "exciting" that anyone can win in this volatile game.(5/x)

I found it surprising that a JP player won Invincible VS, in North America. This player, Heiho is a beast when it comes to these kinds of kusoge games. In the past he won Evo BBTag when the game was fresh, Evo France HxH Nen Impact and now Invincible VS. He's also won tournaments in DNF Duel. (6/x)

I'm not much of a VF enjoyer but I watched a bit. It was cool to see Tricky Eileen get third place. I listen to her videos from time to time on psychology and she always has something thoughtful to say, so I suggest looking her up for interesting thoughts on psychology within fighting games.(3/x)

SF6 I couldn't feel the same hype as last year. I felt like there were less legendary players getting further into the brackets than before. There were a number of players that nobody heard of doing really well. Was mostly rooting for Dogura in the top 8, his Elena is unique.(4/x)

BBCF matches were probably the biggest highlight for me. A number of legendary Blazblue players came out that you don't see travel outside of their region (Japan). The level of play was extremely high. That, along with the Blazblue announcements, makes me want to get back into the game.(2/x)

Evo starting soon. Excited to watch a number of games but the one I'm most interested in is actually BBCF, because there are a few legendary players from Japan attending that you never see travel outside their region, like Makki Rachel, Rascal Bullet, Masa Mai and others.
