Go try the CloverPit demo. You'll be throwing coins you win from the slot machine at your PC trying to buy the full game!

🚨game price reveal 🚨 a lot of people have been asking how much CloverPit will cost and we got some news!! - $9.99!! - probs a little launch discount too hehe - no microtransactions!! - 13 days till launch!!

It got negative reviews but I played through MindsEye over the past couple of days. It was not the best game I've ever played but the actors and their digital representations were good and I will enjoy exploring the sort of Las Vegas cityscape in free roam now that I've finished the game.

Played the Donkey Kong Bananza demo at Nintendo SF today. It felt a lot like Mario Odyssey with some Minecraft elements sprinkled in. I look forward to playing the full game later this month.

Did everyone check out the Meta booth at AWE? Two pair of Ray-Bans, a QR code and a framed printout. Very eye catching and clearly a high priority for a silver sponsor of the event to have an impactful presence on the show floor.

My time at AWE 2025 has just ended and I have lots of thoughts. This is the conference that brings the mind, body and heartbeat of the XR community together. I love seeing friends old and new and our shared continued excitement for this technology.

The things that excited me most this week were Play for Dream's fantastic MR headset, VITURE's upcoming XR glasses and looking forward to a fun human focused future with the consumer version of Snap Spectacles next year!

I'm a big fan of the crazy worlds the artists at Meow Wolf transport visitors to and have been a Niantic app user since Field Trip, so this collaboration is like Peanut Butter and Jelly to me. Read Scott's article to learn where Niantic and Meow Wolf will blend realities first!

Exclusive from me: Meow Wolf and Niantic are building out a mix of real world and AR starting next year, and I got to learn all about it from the team. Wild stuff and exactly what I was hoping would happen. www.cnet.com/tech/computi...

I've told you about keynotes. I've told you about the great games and fantastic VR Game Spotlight presentation at the Gaming Hub. How about a nice thread of things I saw that were cool on the exhibit hall floor at AWE?

Voy Glasses brought tunable prescription lens inserts that can be adjusted to fit multiple eyewear prescriptions for Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, Ray-Ban|Meta and a small pair of glasses that can fit behind other HMDs. These would be great for shared headsets or giving demos.

Got to try an awesome prototype of glasses from Emteq Labs frames that use optical flow sensors to detect facial movements. Some use cases include detecting your mood or dietary intake with lots of other possibilities being explored. Keep an eye on www.emteqlabs.com

Project Moohan, the forbidden fruit VST headset. Also not available for demos: Project Aura OST headset, Project Astra powered AR glasses or any other Android XR device.

I got to try out Sony's XYN creation platform headset and controller in a museum style experience. I was most impressed by text readability for small text in headset.

I got a second hands on with the XREAL One Pro and XREAL Eye and got to check out the new XREAL Neo passthrough video power bank debuting later this summer.

I learned about Capcom/KDDI's Monster Hunter Bridge demo being at AWE during the Qualcomm keynote and audibly hooted and fist pumped in excitement. The AR headset used for the experience has 105 degree wide field of view and fantastic vibrant graphics with good sound and hand tracking.

Thousand Bit brought a great redirected walking virtual equivalent of a haunted house or theme park dark ride called The Sinister Inn which takes up the space of about a single car garage and to me rivaled a real amusement park experience in a 3 minute walk.

I made a beeline to the Play for Dream booth as I'd heard so much about their headset from others who had tried it. Both in a mixed reality passthrough demo and Steam VR powered by the newest mode addition to Virtual Desktop, the headset impressed me.
