Thought I could have two consecutive years where my general classroom setup would remain the same. Fire Marshall came in, told the district I need to turn the students to face the opposite way to see a visual fire alarm. Which is where the ukuleles hang. Fingers crossed that's fixed over the summer

Being the only music teacher in a building can get a bit lonely. Classroom teachers get teaching, but it's different setting ~25 students all day vs the entire school for an hour at a time each week. And I'm fairly lucky to have that!

In cleaning out files for the new year, I found a list I'd started and abandoned of teachers in my county. Over thirty other music teachers working with elementary students in public schools, a dozen others in private schools. We just never connect!

...and I woke up back in the first room. Made sure I wasn't too unsure, got driven home, ate some applesauce.

All this to say, as a PSA/Dido cover, that it's not so bad! I wouldn't go do it every week, but it's important to get checked. I don't have to go again for... five more years. Better than one I guess. Don't wait too long, y'all!

MVP: lemon lime Liquid IV (salty, but drinkable). LVP: pho broth (got through two mugs, heated, before the smell was too much).

I had an amazing driver take me to the hospital. The nurses got me checked in and, after getting myself suited up, hooked in. I *do not* like needles, and they were very accommodating. We waited with a saline drip until they wheeled me back. Nurse had me get in position and the anesthesia started...

I was able to pick a date that worked for me within a month and get on with my summer until prep day.

Prep day was not the worst day I've ever had. That's kind of the extent of my praise for prep day. I am blessed to have a support system so that I could veg in bed (and elsewhere) all day.

45 is usually the age recommended for a colonoscopy, but family history had me asking for one earlier. I get the feeling that primary care physicians don't often have patients banging down their door for a referral, but here we are.
