David Rogers' political branding is an obscene trademark violation of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, which was a source of peace and joy for everyone in my generation (and his). He should know better. He should be ashamed of himself. www.statesman.com/news/local/p...

I’m going to get canceled for this take, by my girlfriend if no one else, but I actually think this is kind of a funny bit
Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

The best writing about music I’ve ever read was a piece about Philip Glass in the Montreal Mirror in the late 90s, in which they correctly summed up his total oeuvre as: there are parts that go “doodly doodly doodly doo” and parts that go “NEEEE NAW NEEEE NAW”
“The way [Philip Glass’s] music often seems to accompany some unheard melody, as well as its tendency to precipitate a state of blissful distraction…allowed him to write both his most avant-garde and his most commercial works.” —Matthew Aucoin

Is anyone talking about this in the context of them doing the same thing to Lula in Brazil last week?
Yesterday, during the No Kings nationwide early voting Day of Action, the group’s Instagram page was taken down for 90 minutes and its administrators were locked out. Meta owes the organizers and the American people an explanation of why it silenced No Kings and undermined its Day of Action.
Now the game’s over we’re all dunking on @jacobinmag.bsky.social for some reason?
