My biggest regret about becoming a dad is that geography has changed considerably since the 1990s, thus my children will never know the pure joy of the original Where in the World is Carmen San Diego game show.

I hinted that there would be more images from the Juice flyby, so here is the timelapse of the full event! It's always amazing to get these views of our fragile Blue Marble from the spacecraft we send out to explore the solar system! 🔭🧪 #planetsci

In my opinion the Infinite Monkey Theorem doesn't go far enough. An infinite number of monkeys typing for an infinite length of time will produce the complete works of William Shakespeare. Then they will do it again with every possible combination of Muppets in each role. In Swedish.

Seeing a *lot* of breathless hype about the partial #eclipse tonight. Most of it from mainstream media and using language like "the Moon will glow red tonight" I highly recommend heading outside and looking up at the Moon throughout the eclipse. Just don't blame astronomers when you're underwhelmed

20 years ago today, Pluto was reclassified to a dwarf planet. Two decades later, we have a much better understanding of the solar system but we are nowhere near a harmonious nomenclature system.

Today everyone — EVERYONE — should take a moment and read Ray Bradbury's four-page short story from 1950.

Today is the day the story There Will Come Soft Rain is set. An amazing and heartbreaking work of fiction for our modern age. Read it here:

Jessica Meir is a very strong candidate to head to the Moon on one of the next few Artemis missions. Tune in today to watch her and Chris Williams give the ISS's robotic arm a tune-up. You can even see what they're seeing via split-screen helmet-cams! #nasa #iss

Super duper twilight sky show trilogy, night 2! The crescent Moon has grown and jumped east, and is now splitting the difference between Venus and Jupiter. Do look up if you haven't caught it yet!

NASA's Psyche mission, on its way to get our first up-close look at a metallic asteroid, just zoomed by Mars and borrowed a tiny bit of its orbital energy. Thanks Mars! Image Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/ASU #psyche #nasa

OTD in 1961, Alan Shepard became the 1st American & 2nd human to cross a widely-accepted boundary of space during the suborbital Mercury-Redstone 3 flight. He landed ~300 miles downrange 15 minutes after liftoff. I wish I could get that kind on time on my Boston-Philly trips of the same distance.

Thousands of new Artemis II photos! Amaze amaze amaze! Check them out in this neat viewer/poll and help determine which ones will grace the header of millions of articles for the next decade. #artemisII

NASA just dropped 12,000 photos from the Artemis II mission. Too many to add to ArtemisTimeline.com, so I just put up a tool at ArtemisTimeline.com/vote so that people can vote on small batches allowing for all of the images to be sorted! (yes, I posted this before, but I had to fix something!)

The episode of The Simpsons where Marge reveals she used to paint portraits of Ringo Starr aired 35 years ago. The flashback within the episode takes us back to ~1968, a 23-year jump. The Simpsons episode is now 1.5x further in our past than Beatlemania was at the time of the episode.

It's a cross-quarter day! Today marks the halfway point between the vernal equinox and the northern solstice. I hope you're making good progress on your spring cleaning task list, northern hemisphere friends!
