The other morning, after returning from a night's shift, while closing our driveway gate I encountered this little crawler. I learned that it was a Broad Faced Sac Spider, and it appeared to be out for a cautious constitutional on the fencepost.

When I captured this image, I recall thinking about the odd brown droplet that rested at the joint between the leaf "blade" and its (I want to call it a stem) "petiolar sinus". Close inspection shows that the droplet has legs. It turns out that I have spotted a beetle: the cereal leaf beetle.

Shortly after capturing this video, I had to move on to do other things. So, I didn't see the actual fate of the suitor. Later, I checked back in to see how things had changed, and I learned that the male spider had survived the encounter. Eventually, he moved on to other areas of the house.

I've been focused on reviewing old ideas that I had recorded onto tape. I am reconstructing those old snippets, but with new arrangements. I'm also learning new software for video editing. This brief snippet is the result of my practice with that.

Yesterday morning, after I returned home from work, there was a relatively short sun break after a night of rain. I felt that I needed to attempt some photos before settling in for the day of sleep. Here is one of my favorites images from the group I captured.

Mysterious, is it not? For me, these streaks and the blobs of light tend to trigger the same effort as what one experiences while gazing at the shapes of clouds. My mind leans toward these patterns as representing a fish as it grazes in a silty pond.

Our Wedding Anniversary led us to visit Westport. It was especially nice to hang out with my favorite friend, moreso because we found some interesting things on the beach. Having brought a microscope, I was able to capture some very small details that surprised me. Naturally, I also snapped flowers.

Yesterday morning, my homecoming from work presented me with a colorful surprise. There it was, just laying on the side of the road, the first leaf I had noticed of the coming season. Autumn waits for nothing. But, it arrives with a burst of colors. #autumniscoming

I haven't yet created a profile that focuses on my music hobby, so I'm sharing a little about it here now... New Guitar Day! #NGD #NewGuitarDay Thanks to an app that paid me for game interactions, I was able to save up for a new guitar.

Not intent to present it as my shtick, I'm sharing these older images to just expand on my previous post a little bit. Sometimes, just looking through the window as the conditions change on either side, we can see that even the window is altered.

Hello! For my introductory post on this platform, I'm sharing a feature of my breaks at work: windshield weather from recent few weeks. For me, the everyday interactions of the world with the windows around me can be very interesting to observe.

You are up to date.
