This is one. huge. colossal. major. messup, even by Psychiatry standards. A recent study by JAMA Neurology has stated that anxiety, sleep or antidepressant medication has a higher risk of ALS, which Psychiatric diagnosis is supposed to hint towards but in typical Psychiatric fasion, (1/3)

it demands compliance and not correlation. Anti-depressants especially, have been linked to a 72% higher mortality rate during the formal diagnosis of ALS. I can rant more about how Psychiatry is doing harm and yadeyadeyada, but all I need to get out today is that; (2/3)

If you are on these medications, BE CAUTIOUS. See a neurologist. Do not depend on Psychiatry as your sole help because it will make matters worse if this diagnosis shows a link to ALS. Before starting medication, consult a neurologist on what to do next, and maybe get legal safeguards ready. (3/3)

Was going to make a tweet regarding the issues with the US's suicide prevention hotline, 988, but I stepped back for a minute because of the stuff I've heard. Some complain about lose gun rights, I mean sure I'd be mad too but I'd be more mad at my bodily autonomy being stolen in the name of "help".

I just wanted to get this out on here, really scared of what's to come within the medical field with psuedosciences like Psychiatry becoming mainstream, and the hatred for Psychiatry being mixed up with the hatred for vaccines.

Wow, I really was in such a horrible state while I was on Twitter. Now that I've actually started my professional MH journey, I've seen how bad and broken mental healthcare is. Either it is the best thing you will experience, or the worst thing that will ruin the rest of your life. Its really sad.

For my physical health, I went to doctors to become better, and that was the case. For my mental health, I would have gone to doctors to get objectively worse. And you say that physical health and mental health go hand-in-hand, while the treatment is heaven and hell?

So I just finished my psychology exam, and all I want to say is DO NOT TAKE THIS SUBJECT, YOU WILL BE TRAUMATISED GET ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS INSTEAD!!11!!1 issued in public interest by every pharmaceutical company who wants to issue more and more psych drugs to those who dont really need it

In advance of the Oscars tonight: a lot of comedy heroes let you down. They become unfunny/bitter/closed minded. Conan is the exception. He has grown & evolved & is funnier than he’s ever been. He’s also an extremely kind and lovely human. Just a sincere post to say: Conan rules.

This place actually feels like old Twitter for the first time in quite a while. Posts calling Pokémon ZA having early PS2 graphics, memes about Shrek, hentai of the newly revealed ZA characters, all of it

I had a genuine question. I know my beliefs are taking over me, and when I speak to others, those beliefs blind me in a way. When speaking to a friend earlier, this happened and I feel like I've lost touch. How do I get over these beliefs and listen to people non-judgmentally?

Absolutely the worst use of infographic colors I have seen in a long time.(For those who don't know: Pakistan's traditional colors are green, and India plays in blue. It was *so hard* to read this.)

I just want to make this clear out here, I'm not anti-psychiatry as long as it is done right. I'm not against SSRIs as long as they're given to the correct people without getting them addicted. Unfortunately the opposite of which is happening in the U.S., and many report side effects ruining them.

I want to call for psychiatrists and lab scientists to actually discuss the effects of these drugs, and try to come up with more effective and very less harmful alternatives. Until then, I will not stop advocating for the stoppage of these harmful practices.

Sometimes, I feel like ripping my heart out. Hearing so many stories of people suffering through LEGAL means sadden me. Why do I have a heart? Why do I keep feeling bad for another person who I may not even know? Why do I keep fighting the good fight for the cost of my sanity? (1/2)

All I know is that I will never stop until the abuse is over. Psychiatric abuse, legal abuse, sexual abuse, childhood abuse etc. I know everyone deserves to live a life, a life without pain and suffering, while some good, the harmful ones. I believe in humanity. (2/2)

Hey y'all, hope all of you are doing well. Recent events in the Trump administration have given me a little hope for those who have been trapped by the US psychiatric system, and might just end their trauma once and for all? I'm not sure. Here is the thread I posted on twitter about this earlier;

More people have been institutionally traumatized and got chemical lobotomies for no reason of their own. People have suffered under the current system and change was desperately needed. Not accepting RFK as the head of this movement but this is a step in the right direction. 2/2

Once again just to clarify, I'm not giving into Trump, in fact, I'm still against his administration and his works, but things like these need to be appreciated. Even though it is the wrong person bringing about this change, it is a welcome and a step in the correct direction in this field.

Not a right wing or MAGA (I would call myself a critic honestly), but the recent developments RFK Jr took against Psychiatry are a welcome change. Psychiatry and Psychology are experimental sciences, and should be treated as such, rather than be used as normal treatment. 1/2
