i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

And he still has his job as a cop. Seems like that should be in the headline.

A Florida man was found dead in his home during a welfare check in July 2022. Weeks later, one of the officers who discovered his body moved into the home and spent years impersonating him, according to investigators.

genuinely it feels like the only people who think “coming up with great ideas” is the difficulty are folks who have never attempted to make their own art i have *so* many ideas for projects right now, the challenge is time and equipment and gaining the necessary skill to execute

Yuuuuuuuuuuuup. I've mentioned before that when I was, like, 10, my IQ was very important to me. The older I've become the more I've recognized IQ is, if not just plain nonsense, then a wildly limited way to understand how one's brain gets along in the world and with other humans.

stoopcat@stoopcat.bsky.social

Anybody who takes IQ seriously is an idiot

My kid has started a Letterboxd list called Killer Sweaters for films where the killer wears a great sweater and they've asked me to throw it out to Bluesky for more because "that's the kind of thing those weirdos like to do"

Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! A paper engineering feat of flipbookery as well as killer drawing!

What will never fail to amaze me is that the confederates literally watched me transition but as soon as I started looking like a muscular tattooed dude instead of a butch woman they stopped wanting to mess with me.

You can kill as many people as you want, but you target a beautiful precious data center? The one that hosted all 40,000 Sexy Ladies For Ken Paxton accounts?

Nicholas Grossman@nicholasgrossman.bsky.social

Uh oh, did someone’s website and personal account experience a big drop in activity after Ukraine hit a Russian data center?

I've been trying to warn people about this and other negative effects of using AI since this AI madness started, and no one believed me. So here an article about it, so you believe now?!

After more than 200 years, the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation is coming home! I am proud to have worked with Chairman Rupnick to secure $1M to build a Tribal Government headquarters here, on Illinois soil. Honored to have played a small role in this long-overdue homecoming.

This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

The fact that the tree is as old as the United States should not be lost on anyone. What a metaphor.

Raider@iwillnotbesilenced.bsky.social

The Trump administration’s actions resulted in the destruction of the largest ancient Cottonwood tree on Indigenous territory in Arizona. This tree, known as the “Grandmother Tree,” was 250 years old.

We are aware of multiple stops conducted today by federal agents in the Madera and Fresno areas. We remind the public to stay calm, to verify information, and to exercise one’s rights, including the right to not answer questions. If detained, do not sign anything without speaking to a lawyer. 1/

It's not really fair that I blame her more than anyone else for Roe v Wade because 50 other senators helped... But she is the only one who got on the senate floor and gave a defensive angry gaslighting speech chiding us for daring to think Kavanaugh would do what we all knew he would do.

Micah@rincewind.run

everyone has their own personal senate race this fall that will be more satisfying than any other if the republican goes down for some it’s texas, for some it’s kansas, etc maine is mine

Customer service has gotten materially worse. Web search is barely usable. Webpages have become less functional and those that still work are buckling under 100x the traffic. Basic computer functionality we've taken for granted has been trashed. Malpractice has proliferated across every industry.

AI has talked kids into suicide, fueled paranoid delusional that led to murder, degraded education quality in both k-12 and higher ed, run roughshod over copyright law, increased spam, fueled spam, fueled fraud, degraded the environment, put people out of work, the list goes on and on.
