The whole intertwined nature of DnD, Computing and the Middle Ages is dead on. A lot of good programmers' first experience with data structure were the DnD "stat blocks" and building characters, etc. And writing code and executing it is like casting a spell for many.

At this point, if anyone is reposting Axios reports re: Strait of Hormuz shipping info, they are aiding and abetting in spreading lies and have lost all credibility. I have blocked that Shipwreck account after several requests not to simply megaphone the obvious lies.

If any of that horseshit was true, they could simply post the details of ships that exited the SoH, with freight details, destinations, etc. now that they are out of the clear. But its all a big fucking lie and people are too lazy to call out the bullshit and block the people abetting the lies.

@profgabriele.com as Agent Cooper would say: "This is, excuse me, a damn fine podcast episode on Sicily" Sicily&Medieval Maritime are two of my hobby topics and I loved this ep - I learned a ton of new things too! That could have been a 2-3 part episode - we just scratched the surface!!!

My "Sicily Mind Blown" event was in 9th grade and when one of our teachers at the German School randomly mentioned that Sicily was run by the Normans for a while...and eventually a German emperor grew up there.

@bft.wtf must be one of your TTRPG players, lol

At level 38 your character receives one food-related status condition that makes it difficult to go to restaurants. Roll from the table below: 1 - Gluten intolerance 2 - Nightshade allergy 3 - Vegan 4 - Keto 5 - No dairy 6 - No alcohol

“BioShocking” tricks #AI browsers into leaking your passwords - thenextweb.com/news/bioshoc... "convinced six AI browsers, including ChatGPT Atlas, Perplexity’s Comet, and Anthropic’s Claude, that stealing your credentials was just the next level of a puzzle. Most of them still fall for it. " great

I actually didn't know who Pape was when your original post was written. It was pretty then already. But it was at least 5x funnier when I actually listened to him prattle on about geopolitics.
