I just spent the morning with a practicing alchemist. Oil of gold takes a full year to create. He has promised to teach me alchemy.

Despite my active membership in Ecclesia Gnostica, two solid weeks of very unusual coincidences have now also connected me with a Tantric Buddhist center, the only Nepalese Vajrayana temple ever established outside Nepal, through help from my friend, a practicing lab alchemist and Tibetan physician.

Free from the neurosis of compulsive striving, Spontaneity is always immanent; With buddha at the core of our being, Goal-oriented thought is quieted; Meditation veils the sublime - Buddha unveiled, everything is light. - Tiklay Kunsel: Nyingma Root Tantra (Aka: Circle of Total Illumination)

One must remain in the vastness, alert and lucid, Letting one's gaze encompass the infinity of the sky, As though seated on the summit of a mountain open to all the horizons. - Shabkar Tsogdruk Rangdrol

Sky empty and luminous beyond all attachments, Remains. Me, the setting sun resplendent with light, Will not remain at all. I pass behind the western summit To reappear again soon, Above the mountains of the east. - Shabkar Tsogdruk Rangdrol

An occult practice will always be limited if it doesn't also include spiritual cultivation for illumination of the mind leading to gnosis. Too many occultists desire occult phenomena/powers over this. Believe me, such experiences aren't special... and there is a price to pay. Make your focus higher.

I connected with a bishop of the Apostolic Church of the Gold & Rosy Cross and now am meeting with a doctor of Tibetan medicine and alchemist, who has offered to teach me lab alchemy and offered a free gift of aurum potabile/oleum auri (oil of philosophic gold). What a month, the stars are aligning!

Something children learn quite easily is the joy of spinning. You spin round very fast and stop and you are dizzy. If you stop, you will be grounded, but if you keep spinning you get dizzy. That is all the Buddha said: spinning is ignorance; just stand still. — James Low The Mirror of Clear Meaning

On Meditation Look at your mind, you can see right through it... it is transparent. Don't try to look around your thoughts, look straight through them. For that which has neither substance nor duration, how can it block your perception? - Lama Lena Yeshe Kaytup

The highest good is like water: it benefits all things and it does not compete. It dwells in low places everyone is trying to escape. That is why it is near the Tao. Water is the softest thing yet can penetrate mountains and earth. This shows the principle of softness overcoming hardness. - Lao Tzu

The condition of the soul after death depends upon the degree of illumination and purification it reached during life: life is a constant process of striving to attain that primordial Light in its purity. The perfect state is granted to an elect few, yet it should be everybody's goal. - Suhrawardi

For quite a while, I haven't been very active here, because aside from working a full-time job, all of my time is spent in writing. That's all I do now: work, read, meditate, and write, write, write... oh, and once in a while I try to remember to eat or to sleep. Perhaps one day it will bear fruit.🙃

As a child, I intuited I'd come from a purer, deeper place than this world but had no words to speak of it. I already knew the memory would fade; the sense of loss was profound. It was the beginning of my lifelong spiritual quest. Have you experienced this memory and fought against its fading also?

In time, the anesthesia of advancing years settling over my life like a layer of snow that muffles all sound, the memory eventually ceased to exist for me. The only way there's ever been a real breakthrough to experiencing that foundational, imaginal source of existence has been via psychedelics.

Yet due to mind's propensity for projecting unreal images to and replace the Real, even sacred medicines rarely break through to that authentic knowing. One must be in a particular frame of mind, where the boundary between subjective experience and objective reality collapses, for that to occur.

There were also instances in which I had glimpses of a level of being in which imagination itself generated the world we know. Not imagination in the worldly sense, but like the imaginal realm of level of reality of which some philosophers speak.

#NICEPHORUSTHESOLITARY ON ATTENTION "Attention is the beginning of contemplation, or rather its necessary condition: for, through #attention, God comes close and reveals Himself to the mind.

Field of vision implies something outside you, but there's no such thing. Rather, it is your expansiveness, your own extended field of being. The eye is merely an aperture, and your luminosity flows in both directions through it. Vision isn't confined to biology: it is light, pervading everywhere.

#HENRYKSKOLIMOWSKI ON OUR PARTICIPATORY UNIVERSE "We do not live in a senseless, stupid, selfish universe, but in a connected and participatory one. We have the power in our mind to make the universe stupid and disconnected. But the mind was not given to us for this purpose.

Prayer is not sending in an order and expecting it to be fulfilled. Prayer is attuning yourself to the life of the world, to love, the force that moves the sun and the moon and the stars. ~ Brother David Steindl-Rast 🙏
