Grief is such a sly beast creeping up on you when you least expect it, ready to rip out your throat and leave you sprawling, gasping for breath and vulnerable. It is now eight months since my dad died, fifty years after my mother. Taking a few days off social media. #authorlife #reallife

Lovely day at Bath Pride, walking through the Georgian streets followed by a party behind Lady Danbury's house! #authorlife

#LesFicFri *pain* It had been less than two days, but Beryl missed her with an ache that was almost painful. She could no more give up being around Odette than a drunk could stop slugging sherry at Christmas. #SapphicRomance #HistoricalRomance #WLW #WW2 #SapphicFiction

Last full day in the highlands. Castles, exhausted dogs and virtually dried up waterfalls. #authorlife

Lochs, castles and tiny waterfalls. We also saw a bird of prey, but think it was too small to be a sea eagle. #authorlife

Another day in Skye, at Dunvegan Castle. bit if a change in the weather since yesterday. #authorlife

"over the sea to Skye". Took the last turntable ferry over to Skye, past the Talisker distillery to the black sand Talisker bay beach (seemed more mud and rocks but who am I to complain!). Great day irrespective. #authorlife

After two days of travelling we finally made it to the Scottish Highlands. Worth all the hold ups and hassles. #authorlife

#LesFicFri *Risk* "Her body was twisted uncomfortably but she didn’t want to break the kiss, risk losing this moment. This was straight from the fever of her recent dreams, and she didn’t want to wake up." #SecondChanceRomance #QueerRomance #HistoricalRomance #WLWBooks

#LesFicFri *wonder* Florrie didn’t regret … spending a big chunk of her savings on an outfit Cam would probably grow out of in a year. The delight and wonder on her face when she saw herself in the mirror was something Florrie would never forget. #Foundfamily #SapphicRomance #HistoricalRomance
