I believe we're at the point where we need to stop just using the term MAGA and start saying MAGA Yahtzee (trying to beat the algorithm here - you know exactly what word I'm implying). Not as a judgement to demonize, but as a mirror to enlighten... ⬇️

Folks in the Michiana area: Share the news of this March 15 rally for youth. Encourage young people in your life to be part of the event (Feb. 16 deadline). Together, we’re stronger!

TOMORROW: We’re rallying at the Treasury building with @moveon.org to stop Elon Musk’s hostile takeover and tell this unelected billionaire to get his hands off our money. We hope you can join us if you’re in the D.C. area.

NEW: Sources tell my office that Treasury Secretary Bessent has granted DOGE *full* access to this system. Social Security and Medicare benefits, grants, payments to government contractors, including those that compete directly with Musk's own companies. All of it.

Keep the pressure on. Call the switch board at 202-224-3121 and give the senator's name to be connected to their office. Give your name, zip code, and reason for calling (ex: I strongly oppose the unconstitutional OMB decision to freeze federal grants and loans, and I want it reversed now.)

They want you to feel powerless and to surrender and to let them trample everything and you are not going to let them. You are not giving up, and neither am I. The fact that we cannot save everything does not mean we cannot save anything and everything we can save is worth saving. ~ Rebecca Solnit

This week, I start my MSW internship while also working full-time. The days will be long, but there are a few pros of starting work at 7am: - Less traffic - Great parking spot - Peace and quiet as I start my day - Uninterrupted time for admin tasks - Enjoying the sunrise view from my office window

Every winter hundreds of birds fly every morning and evening from the surrounding cornfields to the trees along the river in downtown South Bend. I stumbled across them this evening and what an amazing experience it was to watch hundreds of birds in constant communication with each other...

The way for me to get through these unprecedented times is to calmly hold multiple conflicting truths in my heart and mind at the same time. When I look for the miraculous ordinary. I am filled with quiet strength. When I embody divine rage. I become a joyful warrior. One breath at a time.

I make sure to take a break from the chaos of the world now and then by reconnecting with the present moment through photography. This is my mindfulness practice while working full-time in higher ed and earning my Master of Social Work degree... #everpresentlife #miraculousordinary

Pay attention to Oklahoma. Bibles in classrooms isn't the big story. The same legal teams behind the seeding of Dobbs are driving a case to create religious schools fully funded by the public & they've already petitioned the Supreme Court. Understandably, everyone was focused on the election.

There IS a place for hate, bigotry, antisemitism, and violence in America, and that place is the Republican Party. Whether Gov. DeWine likes it or not, white supremacists are a part of the GOP voting base and they are emboldened once again to march down the street in broad daylight.

We're in a time of great transition in this country and in the world. Old systems are breaking down and new ones are emerging, but it's not clear what those new systems will yet be. This is a battle we will all have to fight in one way or another. I plan to fight on the side of #revolutionarylove.

I'm just an MSW student in my late 40's, working in public higher education, and trying to figure out how to manage my anxiety in the 21st century one day at a time. Happy to be on a platform that isn't currently run by a fascist tech billionaire and hoping it stays that way. Let's connect!

You are up to date.
