The left is running with the same bad framing as the right on Chris Rock. He didn’t reject social justice or “wokeness.” He said the reckoning was necessary, but the culture around accountability became too punitive and unforgiving. That’s a critique of excess, not the underlying values. Be better

OK class do we all see why electing a felon, sexual assaulting, fraudster, failed business man, & reality tv actor is a bad idea? I mean we’ve only been saying this for about 11 or 12 years now. Do we all need to write an essay on how vanity projects & gold statues don’t help the American people?

This should be a much bigger story. Trump’s mail-ballot restrictions have already been blocked by federal courts as likely unlawful. But USPS just finalized a 95-page rule building the machinery to enforce them anyway—ready to activate if SCOTUS lifts the injunction. Weeks before an election.

Trump repeals shell company disclosure. A state AG with standing needs to sue NOW and seek a TRO blocking FinCEN from deleting its ownership database. No need to restore reporting yet—just preserve the data. If Trump’s rule is struck down later, those records may otherwise be gone for good.

1/6 Trump’s OMB is trying to turn federal grants into a loyalty system. Senior political appointees would review every discretionary award. Expert peer review would be advisory. Grants could be terminated when they no longer fit agency priorities. That is political control, not oversight.

5/6 We do not have to imagine how political grant control can be abused. The Trump administration admitted in court that it canceled $7.6 billion in clean-energy grants solely because the recipient states voted for Kamala Harris. Now it wants political review built across grantmaking.

6/6 The culture-war language is the cover. The power grab is the point. Taxpayer money should follow the law, evidence and public need—not become a reward for loyalty or a threat against dissent. They are turning a rule few people will read into a system everyone may eventually feel.

3/6 This is not obscure bureaucracy. Federal grants support research, public health, transportation, housing, child welfare and local services. The proposed rule governs the system that distributed $1.1 trillion to state and local governments in 2024. Your community could feel this.

4/6 A scientist can spend years earning a federal grant through expert review. Under the proposal, peer review would remain merely advisory. A senior appointee would conduct the final pre-award review. Evidence would answer to politics. That is a direct threat to independent science.

2/6 Congress writes the laws and controls federal spending. Agencies have discretion—but they must remain within the authority Congress gave them. This proposal would broaden political control over who receives grants and which ongoing awards still serve the administration’s priorities.

The Pentagon is withholding causality and hit numbers. The CDC is withholding infection rates. The FDA is withholding information about food contamination. The EPA is withholding pollution and climate data. This corrupt administration is ALL about concealing the consequences of its incompetence.

Undocumented immigrants already can’t receive most federal welfare. The real costs are schools, emergency care and local services—and CBO says recent immigrants are projected to pay far more in federal taxes than they receive in benefits. The “illegal welfare” story is a scam with a scapegoat.

Trump spent last night manufacturing a fraudulent election. Stephen Miller spent today manufacturing a domestic enemy. One creates the emergency. The other names who can be punished under it. This is not campaign rhetoric. It is the architecture of authoritarian rule.

Todd Blanche’s confirmation isn’t the leverage people think it is. He’s already the Senate-confirmed deputy AG and first in line to run DOJ. Leave the AG post vacant, and Blanche stays in charge. Trump already has the lawyer he wants. The confirmation fight is theater.

People in the South deserve better than poverty, bad healthcare, underfunded schools, and shorter lives. The problem is not someone praying. The problem is politicians using religion to convince people that suffering is virtue while they block the policies that would actually help.

America cannot run an endless war machine on honest consent alone. So it rations healthcare, housing, education, and stability. Then it offers those things through enlistment and calls it “opportunity.” The poverty draft is not a side effect. It is infrastructure.

They call universal healthcare “socialism.” Then they use healthcare to recruit poor kids into an institution built on compliance, hierarchy, and risk. The benefit was never the problem. The problem was giving people survival without first making them surrender autonomy.

The Supreme Court protected late-arriving mail ballots only if they’re postmarked on time. That does not protect voters if USPS delays the postmark until processing—or ties ballot mail to voter-list demands. The attack moved from the courtroom to the mailroom.

If you hear “socialism” and think dictatorship, that fear did not come from nowhere. Authoritarian regimes used the word. But that is not what Mamdani, Bernie, AOC, or the viable U.S. left are proposing. Healthcare, housing, unions, and taxing billionaires are not gulags.

The viable left in America is not running on gulags. It is running on healthcare, housing, wages, unions, childcare, climate, abortion rights, LGBTQ rights, and taxing billionaires. They call that “communism” because “capitalism should have rules” is harder for them to argue against.

A housing bill passed Congress. Trump canceled the signing and tied it to the SAVE Act. The key now is procedure: when Johnson sends it, when the 10-day clock starts, and whether Congress stays able to receive a veto. That’s where a pocket-veto threat can hide. Watch the calendar.

A sworn claim that some Reflecting Pool sealant was cut isn’t proof that vandals caused the project failure. Trump claimed a massive gash. The public still has not seen it. Show the photos, evidence, the assessment. Show the video. Until then, this looks like a tarp over a failed vanity project.

Most people want the same basic things: a job that pays enough, healthcare that does not bankrupt them, clean air, fair elections, and a government that cannot be bought. The culture war keeps people fighting sideways. The real fight is upward: wealth, corruption, propaganda, and unchecked power.

Raise wages. Universal healthcare. Tax the ultra-wealthy. Get money out of politics. Statehood for DC and Puerto Rico. Abolish the filibuster. Reform the Court. Clean energy. No illegal wars. And make one thing clear forever: The president is not a king.

Your rent is too high. Your healthcare is too expensive. Your wages are too low. Your government feels broken because it has been captured by billionaires, lobbyists, corrupted courts, propaganda, and presidents who think the law is optional. The fix is not scapegoating. It is power repair.

Bad faith is not a vibe. It is a pattern: Say “security” while taking voter data. Say “efficiency” while firing watchdogs. Say “free speech” while punishing dissent. Say “law and order” while targeting enemies. Look at the trick, not the slogan.

Masked federal agents raid homes, snatch people, fire tear gas, use pepper balls, and shoot people — and it gets called “enforcement.” People protest and monitor them — and suddenly it’s “antifa extremism.” That’s the trick: state violence becomes invisible. Resistance becomes the crime.
