I got really excited and bought all these advent calendars for my family. I forgot that chocolate doesn't survive real well at room temperature during a Queensland summer. I put it in the fridge, but it takes up so much space. Then I realised I don't have to wait 'til Dec for a daily treat. Yay.

I read a story about an Autistic, Asexual character, written by an Autistic, Asexual writer. I second this comment about seeking out indie authors. It's the only time I have ever seen myself written accurately on the page.

I borrowed a book of Queer Horror Short Stories from the library to read with my friend this spooky season. The first story I read was some TERF nonsense, and I was really disappointed with whoever curated the anthology. Don't call it queer if you're not safe for all queers.
