I don’t know how to feel about how much the Silo TV show is diverging from the books.

For all my dev friends, especially those who care about the free exchange of information on platforms like BSky, do yourself a favor and learn all the appropriate messaging protocols (e.g. AT, XMPP, etc), and just a smattering of public key crypto. It matters more that you think.
