A word to women walking cute dogs. If you run across a bloke that waves at your dog and says "hello buddy". It is really ALL about the doggo and not me attempting to make a pass at you. Seriously. I'm bit too old for silly games and bollocks, so ... aye, it is all about the floof.

A shout out to those that came up with Bluetooth speakers. I'm sure when you tested it, it was done with a bunch of preppy looking folks sitting on a lawn having a picnic. What you didn't count on is the tosser serenading unsuspecting commuters with despicable taste in music. Thanks, mates.

Was listening to 98.3 KJOY this weekend. I notice that on holiday weekends, they are apparently going ALL 80s throughout the weekend. Yes, nothing but 80s minus the occasional bollocks like Swift or Carpenter. Or is this is every weekend? If so, carry on KJOY. Jolly good show, mates. Loving it.

Just want to give a shout out to the mates at KJOY 98.3 fm for actually playing ALL 80s throughout the the three day weekend. Yes, 80s without being interrupted by the likes of Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, etc. It was good to listen all 80s music and give my router a rest. Jolly good show, mates.

Dear Rockstar, as you are teasing folks about the release of GTA VI, you will be losing one customer. Aye, as I finish up the backlogs of games that I have yet to play on my Xbox 360 and PS4, I'm afraid that novelty will be worn. And yes, Sony, I won't be buying a PS 5. Cheerio.

There is this MJS commercial that plays on NYC radio, where this woman (slightly) berates her husband about remembering their anniversary. Turns out is "coming soon" and is "August 7". The annoying thing is that is PAST August 7 and still play that bloody commercial. Aye.

Another thing. As a librarian and avid reader, I tip my hat to what Dolly Parton did for encouraging kids to love books. Yes, I also have an engineering degree and is major techy, but most times you can catch me on my daily commute with my face stuck in book. Jolly good show, Lady Dolly. RIP

A cold world just got a bit more colder. It struck me hard when I heard about the passing of Dolly Parton. Growing up in Guyana, I heard her music on the Massey-Ferguson Hour on the radio on Saturday nights. She was quite the icon and a human treasure. RIP, Lady Dolly.

Last April in Waikiki, I strolled to an ABC store wearing a Def Leppard t-shirt that caught the attention of this cool blonde woman from California, and we started talking about 80s metal and it went from one thing to other. The store almost closed on us. Cool conversation. Hope you're doing fine.

So gaming systems are switching to subscription business models just about the time I'm finishing up my backlog of PS4 games, and pretty much have not intention buying another game console. Aye, instead of playing with digital content I've taken an interest in creating it. Bloody hell.

I just discovered that all the seasons of Tales From The Crypt is on Tubi ... for FREE (with annoying ads). But they're all there. I know it is horror ... that distracts me from the horror of this world. Now I will break out the tea and biscuits, and binge away. Cheers !!!

Standing in line at a supermarket and watching mum and her children conversing. The daughter kept addressing her mum as "bro" ... A LOT. Lately, the word "bro" causes eye twitches and dark thoughts. Apparently parents are ok with this. I guess this is my "old man shaking his fist at the sky" phase.

For those that think that life as librarian is boring, you have no bloody idea. Sometimes I think we're part of some secret reality show being beamed to another part of the universe. The recent bit of buggery: someone's been stealing the toilet paper from our adult public bathrooms. Bloody hell.

Came back from my trip to Hawaii on Sunday, and is wondering why there is no progress being made on teleportation or portals. Love you Waikiki, and looking forward to my next visit. Mahalo.

Just heard the Maire Brennan passed away. Patriot Games introduced me to Harry's Game which in turn introduced me to Clannad. I don't speak a word of Gaelic but I enjoy listening to it. And yes Last Of The Mohicans with Madeliene Stowe, great song. Thank you for the music. RIP Lady Maire.

Dear MTA, I get it. You want to crack down on fare beaters. What I don't get is your fare inspectors flexing to put an entire bus "out of service" because of ONE fare beater that refused to get off. Aye, inconveniencing the rest of us that not only paid but is trying to get to work ON TIME. Tossers!

Had a Netflix gift card that was a year and half old. I activated it so I can finish watching Stranger Things. And being mental masochist, I opted for the plan with ads. Aye. It's basically slightly fewer ads than Tubi (which is BLOODY FREE). Well played. Enjoy these last few months, mate.

In NYC, unlike most places, any snow coverage under 1 ft. of snow means ... aye ... we're going to work. Crappy transit movement and gridlock up the wazoo be damned. So bear with me when during the Christmas holidays, dark clouds roll in my mind when folks talk about wanting a "white Christmas".

Was up late last night and saw the snow falling again. Yes, just as white pile of bollocks that has been sitting on the ground for the last few weeks has started to disappear. We get teased with this. And I say teased, since most of it was gone by the time I got up. Seriously, Mother Nature.

Heard Depeche Mode and New Order being played on 101.1 CBS-FM. Blimey. What's next? Some Concrete Blonde, Siouxie and The Banshees? Is CBS-FM becoming a covert alternative station. About bloody time. We need some alternative music in NYC. Carry on, folks.

Eggnog. Check. Love, Actually Blu-Ray. Check. I am ready for Christmas Eve. Yes, I know that cramps my reputation as an "evil parrot". But that's how we evil parrots roll.

Maybe it's an NYC thing. I notice that a lot of folks have forsaken the concept of headphones and hold their smartphones to their ears. The last time I saw behaviour like that the devices were small and were called transistor radios. Aye, all that tech only to be treated like relic of the past. #smh

It is 3 days til Christmas. I haven't heard the Barking Dogs Jingle Bells on 106.7 Lite-FM. Also I've been listening to the North Pole Radio on iHeart Radio (they play Christmas music 24/7/365 ... no kidding) and NO Barking Dogs Jingle Bells. Bloody hell. Did Barking Dogs get cancelled? Sad World.

As we approach the Christmas season, and I look forward to set forward to leaving my radio stuck 24/7 on 106.7 Lite-FM, I have to ask: "Dear Lite-FM would it kill you to add the Barking Dogs Jingle Bells to your bloody playlist?" Just asking for ... um, a friend. Aye.

Left home extra, extra early on Monday morning and the #MTA transit buses managed to get me within JOGGING distance of my job in order for me to log in at exactly the time I'm supposed to be in. Seriously? New #MTA slogan: "MTA, capable of messing up a wet dream". Bloody hell, mate.

Thanks to ads that mess up my YT viewing experience on my smart TV, I have no intentions of patronizing the very bollocks in your ads. Aye, when a 10 minute video has 5 mins of ads, it's bloody annoying. Yes, you have to make a buck to make to stuff free. Fine. And there's being a bloody nuisance.

Signed into my TinkerCad account from a new device. Got harrassed with a security question and passed. Now they want me to get a verification code off a phone that is inactive. Are you bloody serious? Why the hell even bother with "security questions"? Tossers !!!

Was bored and was watching that Jem cartoon on Tubi, and I've come to the conclusion that some of the songs on Jem rocked harder than most of the pop bollocks you hear today on the radio. It's truly, truly, truly outrageous. I missed the 80s.

Started cooking on Sunday nights with my CDs. Yes, turned off Pandora and gave my router a rest. Forgot how good my CDs sound, and the best part about that is that they are not generating any data for data mining tossers to gather. Alas, my stereo is not internet capable. Bloody awesome.

Just a shout out to my mates at #99X (100.5 FM) in #Atlanta, it was a delightful two weeks of listening to alt-rock on terrestrial radio. Please school my city NYC on this, aside from crappy gun laws, we somehow can't seem to keep a decent alt-rock FM radio station. Bloody hell.

Recently traveled. Now every plane seat has an overhead slot for carry-ons. Why in bloody hell, going and coming, I had to hear the airline offering free check-ins for certain groups because they were out of storage. Seems like some folks are taking up more than their share. Please enlighten me.

During this #NationalTeacherAppreciationWeek I want to give a great shout out to Sir Remington Williams. Though not officially knighted he is highly regarded. A treasure to humanity and a (former) great History teacher. My sympathy to those that has never met or had him as a teacher. Cheers.

Was cooking late last night, with Pandora in the background. The algorithm picked up a group called Dead On A Sunday that did a delightful cover of Q Lazarus' Goodbye Horses. I'm bloody obsessed with that cover now.

A few years ago I digitized this into mp3s. Was recently listening the actual cassette (yes, the Evil Parrot has an active cassette player), still sounds good. It was my first bit of music I purchased when I came to the US (back in 89) from "clearance" bin at Sam Goody. Long live Tangerine Dream.

I remember sitting in my Guyanese living room in the 80s watching Real Genius, and I became fascinated with lasers. And then I saw Short Circuit and went on to study electrical engineering. Thanks for the memories Mr. Kilmer. May you truly Rest in Peace, my good man.

Many Gen Xers are talking about Gen X as of lately. Allow me to add to the conversation. Gen X (Guyanese edition) did not have television in their homes until around 1985. Yes, me and my mates spent more than 15 years without a telly. On the bright side, we polished off novels ... in 6th grade.

I've become a big fan of Cannons. There is something about that song Bad Dream, when those keyboard parts hit and it somehow transports me back to my town in Guyana, during the 80s, I can smell the pine trees on my high school campus and there is a certain woman there. Music: a mental time machine.

I get laughs when I tell folks that I'm still holding my 1989 volumes of Encyclopedia Britannica. Outdated, they say. Well, for one, I use them to look up ancient history, old stuff. Secondly, with historical revisionism that is happening en masse, this stuff is gold. Hold on to those old volumes.

I watched David Lynch's Dune in my Guyanese living room in the 80s and it drew me into Frank Herbert's universe. Years later, when I moved to the US, Twin Peaks turned me on to the serene voice of Julee Cruise that got me through many nights of study and a breakup. I'm late but RIP David Lynch.

You are up to date.
